yeah similar sized rooms down there I think Cove might have been making a point of the fact that a higher finishing A Grade side should have precedence if Reynella or the SFL wanted there A's and B's in the same room then the B's should have given up the home rooms! Like you said though considering it was probably one of the biggest games in the clubs recent history a small thing like that shouldn't even be noticed!

agree with ya ZC... what does that say about the coaches ability to be totally mentally focused and switched on and get his team prepared? Fair enough reason, but not needed to be brought up in a heated debete to a SFL league official. Let it BE!
Looks like a good win on the weekend ZC, bet everyone after the game was pretty happy with the boys effort?

Surprised would have to be the word heard Valley had a few under the weather with a bit of flu but still expected it to be a bit closer I wouldn't write them off yet tho still a lot of talent at that club and anything can happen in finals!

A good game, as expected, with Reynella leading at halftime and then a third quarter blitz by Cove to put the result in doubt. An absorbing last quarter.

A couple of humurous aspects to the day: Cove turned up together in a small 50 year old rattle-trap bus with 'Alberton Primary School' emblazoned down the side. Now geography was never my strong point but Hallett Cove by my estimation is only 20 minutes down the road (I had to travel past HC to get there myself and the whole journey only took half an hour).
That must have been a rivetting journey home again.
The second one concerned the rooms. Reynella B's had Aldinga's rooms because they finished higher but the always thinking SFL had Reynella A's in the opposite rooms. Common sense prevailed and the A's used the same rooms but you should have heard the sqealing from the Cove mob...it was absolutely embarrassing. I even heard their renowned coach have a huge dummy spit about it to an SFL official. You would have thought they had more to worry about than that wouldnt you? My dim recollection of the rooms at aldinga are that they are mirror image so what would it matter?

Valley v Brighton on Saturday, i reckon these 2 sides have met in this same final for about the last 2-3 years, and Cove v Porties on Sunday.

Valley and Cove for me. Sorry Franky but i think it will be a close game...

Brighton looked like a finals harden team ,able to handle the heat of finals where lonsdale looked nervous and the inexperience of finals pressure footy showed. Morphett Vale looked very good saturday with there little men in top form.

Chuckles - We could only have played either HV or Cove.........

I would say bring on the Vikings......lost a close one to them a few weeks back with a few missing....also met them in the last few years at this stage (well pointed out Mexican) and the record would be in favour of the Bombers....

Dont mind Mexican to be honest the two sides are very similar to each other and it should be an outstanding contest.I think Cove are a good side and will smash Porties, but the Emu's will have the week off freshen up and belt whoever they play.We will have the week off to recover a few sore lads at fly park after a good hard contest Saturday and with all going well shape up for a crack at the big one against the Emu's.

From what i saw on the weekend the Valleys still struggle in finals containing the powerhouse forwards. Think Duncan Draper used to kick bags against them in finals & Beechings second 1/4 on saturday turned the game on its head. I can see Milo doing the same sort of thing if its a reynella / HV prelim.

I don't know about that but I can confirm that Ando was certainly behind just about everything else that cost Cove the game on saturday.
