I have heard that the HFL website will be updated on Saturday night all going to plan - M80 is writing up all the scores as he wishes!
Seriously, the site should be updated on Saturday night, late, ready to view early in the morning.
Will have to wait and see what happens then.

All the best for the finals!

HFL Country 2nd Semi scores:-

Kangas 16-12 d Meadows 9.5

Kangas easily accounted for Meadows this arvo. Can't give a match report tho as I only saw the last quarter. Meadows had their chances in the forward lines but were thwarted in the square. Kangas played corridor footy and made every kick count in a high standard quarter.

Huge crowd and I had to park on the roadway outside. Who says patrons won't travel far? Probably more there than a SANFL game

u17s- Uraidla had possession of the ball with 30sec to go, 4 points up on their half back flank, uraidla guy chipped backwards to the back pocket but the kick fell short, lofty pounced on it and kicked an easy goal, Lofty by 2 points

Bs- IB by 8 goals with uraidla kicking 2.12  Very well played by the Thunderers and im guessing there will be a few concerned lofty B graders after today :)

As- Last I heard was that Lofty were up by 6goals at half time

Saw the 1st quarter of the Lofty v Woods A grade game and Lofty were in complete control. White (2 goals) & Wood had 20+ touches between them. I think the 1/4 time score was something like 3.7 to 0.0. No Gigney, Golding or Silvy for Blackwood which hurts them. Blackwood would have had 3 inside 50's for the entire quarter whilst Lofty had close to 30.

Who the hell is this ruckman Bawden? Where has he come from? One of the biggest leaps I've seen on a ruckman. He destroyed Blackwood in the middle.

Mt Lofty over Blackwood by about 70 points. Ben Gordon booting a bag of goals. Bit of feeling in the game with a brawl in the final quarter after a goal from lofty's Ollie Temme. At one stage Gordon had 3 Blackwood blokes on top of him and they still couldnt get him down. Leg injury to Wood it seems, was dominating the game.

Doesnt sound like a good day for Uri's :?

That u17s result reminds me of an elim final I played in against Lofty in 1999 when the devils kicked a goal on the final siren to win by less than a kick

Was two great junior games this morning. Very scrappy, tight, tough affair in the 17s with the Devils lucky to get away playin below their best. I think it was unlucky for the player who stuffed up the short kick backwards as he was probably best on ground besides that incident.

Tex, good to see young Callan Blackwell out there today. This lad would probably be around 19?
Still very slight in build but has come an incredibly long way. Geez Milang bred some gooduns didn't they? Bet he's still a pleasure to train and will do anything asked of him. Deserved to be in the best players and I only saw one quarter.

Ironbank were far too good for Uraidla in the B grade but Banker, as for Lofty being concerned about what they saw from Ironbank- you are kidding yourself. If Lofty can stop campbell and sodomka they will book themselves another gf appearance in the super b's.

TWE - that should be the concern for you. Campbell kicked 8 and you still lost the match. Didn't have many mates kicking goals that day.

Had all of those players earlier in the year on your home deck- you would remember the result. Yep those are all good players granted but just not sure you have as many potential match winners if these few key players are closed down. If they fire you may be in business. Time will tell- just my opinion and you have yours, both biased to our own clubs. We shouldn't dismiss Onkas, they have had a good 2nd half of the season and beat both of our teams comfortably.
