I know where you are going with this and I 100% agree with you.
The only thing I don't like about what the media are saying is when they say "Teach your boys not to rape women". What a ridiculous thing to say.
Also when they criticise Police for saying women should be aware of their surroundings...this is not the solution to the problem but an attempt to reduce the risk to women.
