Californication + The Office

Postby silicone skyline » Thu Aug 30, 2007 8:24 am

Watched this show's debut(??) Monday night, and thought it was brilliant.
Had everything i could ask for in a TV show.
Boobs, and .... stuff.
But really, thought it had some cleverly funny scenes, mixed with some drama, and overall, i am now a fan.
Anyone else got opinions on the show?

Secondly, the American version of The Office aired directly afterwards and was also hilarious.
I know there's millions who berate the American version to the English one, but I think they are both great.
Anyone else an Office fan???

The NBC Office has definitely improved though there are some characters I just hate. Dwight is no Gareth!

A new favourite for me.

Duchovny is perfect really for the Hank character (he is an executive producer after all).
Watched the 2nd episode the other night and there's a classic scene at the end to hang out for

The usual wowsers are up in arms about the content, but that's a major reason why it's worth watching

Very funny pilot - loved it. Very dry and humerous.. Duchovny was great - I can't even imagine him as Mulder now.
I downloaded the first three - looking forward to the second two now.

I haven't seen duchovny as mulder since he was in Evolution. Great movie and he was pretty funny in it.
As for Californication, lets hope the idiots who like to complain about every little swear word or tit-flash on tv don't bring about its demise.
We need more shows like this in Australia, instead of all these shitty crime shows.

Was one of the better new shows in recent times, plenty of jiggly bits helped with that assessment though...

Duchovny was perfect for the role, hopefully they explore the character more as the show progresses.

And my, hasn't the little kid from the nanny grown.

Was she the sixteen year old ? Wow !

I laughed every time the name "Hank" was said as that is my dad's name, and for some strange
reason picturing a "Hank" with good looking chicks with nice boobies sends weird pictures..mmm :?

Even though I think the BBC version is much better, I don't mind the American version of The Office, have watched all 3 series.

Watched the first 2 episodes of Californication, reminds me a bit of Entourage.

i watched the repeat of the first episode of californication last nite, and from a women's perspective, i actually enjoyed it.

bit crude in parts, but it had its funny moments.

as for america's version of The Office - i was also very impressed.
havent laughed that hard at a TV show all year.

its about effing time there was some decent shows to watch.
now all they need to do is take of Australian Idol, and channel 10 will be perfect :D
