The absolute incompetence of some people that I deal with through work.

One in particular, a supplier of fasteners and fixings, is just hopeless. Nice enough bloke, drives a nice enough company car, wears standard sales rep kit so I'd imagine he's on a reasonable salary but by christ he is useless.

I've joined in on the fungus growth. 10 days in getting a bit itchy. Far too much salt in it for my liking.

Getting a phone call about a new job, but not being able to take the call because I share an office here.

Sent him an email to advise the situation and a good time to call. Hopefully it doesn't make his job easier trimming the candidates down.

We interviewed last week for a job here. 80 applicants in 3 days. Whittled that down to 8 interviews, got 2 back for a second chat. Offer the role to the successor on Friday, she start next Tuesday. Always a pain in the ar$e, and some of the applications are just totally unsuitable for the role. It's like they didn't even read the ad.

yeah don't think you should be expected to just drop everything when they call out of the blue. advising of a suitable time is appropriate imo

I think if you can get past the initial 4-6 weeks of the beard's infancy, you're home free.

I've had a beard for about 4 years now, but mainly because I'm ugly.

Called him this morning. It went pretty well. I have a proper interview next week.

Also, he knows someone I know, so he called them and I apparently got a glowing personal reference....obviously doesn't know me very well.
