For those that are interested (which is probably nobody)

Every step on the moment magnitude scale (Still commonly referred to as the Richter scale, which is the previous less precise measure) equates to roughly 32 times the amount of energy

So a magnitude 7 quake for instance (which is a pretty major one) would have roughly 1 million times the energy that a magnitude 3 one has

Or the recent Japanese one which hit the Fukushima plant had roughly 1000000000000 times the energy
