In such a tough league it is very difficult to find consistency. This doesn't appear to be a problem for our unbeaten ladder leader the Honey Badgers and his nearest rival, the newly promoted TEAM_FISH who have not dropped a match since being rolled by Q in the opener. The Badgers got the job done against Has Been who had been travelling well while FISH won the battle of the promoted sides to triumph over Inner Sanctum who, like Has Been, remained in the eight despite the loss.

From the REBCats down the whole comp is a scrap. A week ago things did not look good for the Sharks and Ecky's Fevolas who were burger ring-4 and propping up the table. Both of these sides smashed out 2300 plus scores to trounce their more fancied rivals and now it is Hips Don't Lie and Pool Swimmers who are suddenly in the gun and the relegation zone. Hondo scored a much needed win while the reigning premier is decidedly off his tucker and starting to look like the Western Bulldogs 2017. There has been some comment about Groover leaving Zorko on the bench last week but seeing as the Pies v Lions game was the last match there wasn't exactly a loophole option available for the captain. Not sure what he could have done there.

The Honey Badgers fought off a stern challenge from the Poon Army and as a result of winning that match they find themselves two games clear of the pack after six rounds. TEAM_FISH was the nearest competitor but they were reeled in by Ecky's Fevolas who like the sharks are suddenly in form. The REBCats are looking to bring back the good old days of losing the grand final as the catters rose to second for the first time in about ten years. The Longwood Lions are also looking good after an ordinary pre-season as Alaska got the job done on Q as the Lions threaten the top four. Richo Richo pulled the short score this week and a consistent low scorer in this comp and he and the Swimmers could be the sides to go down even though two top sides from last year are also in that unfamiliar territory.

Hondo and Ecky are both high scoring teams that are badly needing a win to keep in touch with the top eight. They played each other this week so surely one gets the four points right? Not quite. Both sides had to share the points after the Premier League's first draw of the season. The draw didn't really help either of them as they are now a game and a half outside the eight, halfway between the relegation zone and finals calculations. At the top of the table the mighty Honey Badgers marched on collecting their seventh straight victory. Can this mob be stopped? It's almost getting to the stage where any win against them is almost worth double. The Badgers are having a massive season and are going from strength to strength.

A lot of high scoring in the Premier League this week with several teams cracking 2300` One of these was Ben Rolfsburgers who didn't even grab two points let alone four as they wen t down in a high quality clash with the victorious Q Man. The Sharks have overcome a slow start and now they are a team on the rise as they are circling the top eight and they had a big week with 2362 as the Sharks devoured the FISH. The bottom three are starting to drag the chain with the reigning premier amongst them. Delicious was a narrow loser in a low scoring match as the premiers of the last two seasons stunk up the place.

FISH has slain the Dragon as an injured Cat conspired to end the Honey Badgers' winning streak at seven matches. In what has been a stellar season so far the Badgers paid full price for Esava's injury and FISHy pounced on the four points to shore up his top eight spot. Percentage is going to be so vital in this league with so many good sides currently out of the eight and wondering who they could dislodge. Longwood Lions have had an excellent season so far but one big loss to the Captain later and Alaska's boys find themselves out of the top eight.

Any time your opponent puts in a low score it's a real bonus as the REBCats and Honey Badgers have found out this year. One team who hasn't is Hondo SCC who are scoring massively but their opposition is scoring even more. This week Hondo reversed that trend as they squeaked past the sharks in a heart stopping two point victory. Two of last year's top sides that have been struggling this season went head to head and it was the reigning premier Delicious who came out on top in an absolutely vital win for valleys. My mate Hammo and his Poon Army can't buy a win and they aren't scoring that well either. Sorry for not tipping you for relegation like I usually do buddy because this year it could be you!

The Honey Badgers have dropped their second straight match and the two game buffer they had at the top is now gone. Inner Sanctum have emerged as the most likely challenger after a comfortable win over the struggling reigning premiers Delicious. Ben Rolfsbergers and Captain Who appear to be on the march along with Hondo and the Sharks. REBCats, Q Before You and Longwood Lions are sliding towards the middle of the ladder after struggling with consistency in the last few weeks.

The Poon Army have resurrected their season with an important win and Hips Don't Lie won a vital one point win over Q to keep their hopes of remaining in the top flight alive. It's a bit early to be putting a line through anyone but the Pool Swimmers are looking vulnerable after a very poor result in this round.
