5x changes this week, along with a number of positional changes.
A number of unlucky players to miss - Ahmed (WS) omitted, he's a big out but had 5 kicked on him Saturday so a spell in the imaginary 2's will help re-discover that fire, and Mazzone (HEC) goes out injured.
Wilson-King (KEN), Brincat (BOS), Wheaton (IF), Alpin (CBC), Kruse (KEN) all on the cusp of selection, adding pressure to those named.
F: D. Tanczos (HV), T. Langford (PUL), A. Scaffidi-Muta (BOS)
HF: A. Paton (LOC), T. Sumner (WS), M. Raymond (CBC)
C: S. Stormonth (LOC), N. Chesser (KEN), K. Hanel (WS)
HB: D. Payne (HV), D. Covino (BOS), J. Owens (CBC)
B: S. Currie (PUL), J. Trenowden (LOC), J. Sipek (PUL)
Ruck: H. Martinello (LOC), D. Delawyer (KEN), R. Langcake (LOC)
Int: J. Brusnahan (WS), J. Hoppo-Luckett (PUL), J. Rutai (CBC)

Solid effort from Micky, you should keep him forward more often!![]()
One good game doesn't make the man though, the other 6 listed in the forward third have been consistent over a number of games, if not the season, so they're ahead of Lane at the moment.
Tanczos - 3 goals, 13 for the season, 2.6 goals per game average in a side that's won one game.
Langford - 5 goals, 32 for the season, 6.4 goals per game average. Second best forward in the comp.
Scaffidi-Muta - 3 goals, 17 for the season, 3.4 goals per game average, also was held goalless in Rd 2, so it's effectively 17 in 4 games.
Sumner - 6 goals, 28 for the season, 5.6 goals per game average. Best forward in the comp.
Raymond - 1 goal, 10 for the season, 2.0 goals per game average. 3 times in CBC best players, ability to hit the scoreboard as well gives him the nod.
Paton - 3 goals, 18 for the season, 4.5 goals per game average.
Mick Lane - 5 goals on Saturday, takes his season tally to 8 goals, average 1.6 goals per year.

It's hard work trying to squeeze people into 21 spots, and most of it is just made up anyway lol.![]()
I probably could push Delawyer to the wing, move Hoppo-Luckett to the midfield, Wheaton to the bench and drop Stormonth.

Alright, straight swap then - Stormy out, Wheaton to the wing.

$4 pints siren to siren during the Showdown is highly appealing as well!

Round 6
Hectorville v Kenilworth
Hope Valley v Ingle Farm
Lockleys v Pulteney
Woodville South v Smithfield
Blackfriars v CBCOC
Interesting ladder, and round of games coming up. Should Kenilworth & Woody Sth win as expected, will see the top 6 sides move well clear of the bottom 4, who seem to have an interesting battle developing.
If Ingle Farm can cause an upset over Hope Valley, then we will finish the round with the bottom 4 sides on 2 points each, 3 wins off 6th place. Think the top 6 are streets ahead of the rest at the moment.
It'll be interesting how the season unfolds over the coming months. In the B grade CBC, Lockleys, Pulteney and Woody South are clearly the stand out sides, well ahead of the rest, and then the depth appears to drop away. Should hold their A grade sides in good stead, but there would have to be question marks around BOS & Kenilworth, and I think the side out of those two who can keep their best 21 fit the longest will be the side that claims the 5th spot in D5 finals.
Two significant battles beginning to open up - the battle for top 2, and the battle to avoid bottom 2, think this could go right down to Rd 18.
