I am staying at Richmond hill hotel Friday week to watch the swans play at the G and it’s just on church street. Not at all familiar with the area. I know it’s a bout 2km away from the ground.
Couple of things.
What would be the best and cheapest way to get to the hotel from the airport? I am pretty sure they have shuttle buses from the airport but not sure if they go there.

Also any good pubs on church street any of you guys would recommend to drink at?

Cricketers Arms on the way to the G from there is a good one.

I think the Skybus is about $20 to get you to the Spencer St Station, or around $40 return back.

Cricketers Arms is a ripper, they use to have 'entertainment' on Thurs/Fri afternoons. $12 jugs to boot

Yep Skybus from Airport to Spencer Street. You should find a train or tram option from Spencer Street to Church Street as well no problem.

The Skybus is $18 one way (book online) to Spencer St Station as Boon said, you can then hop on a free hotel shuttle they run which will drop you pretty close, if not actually at the hotel you’re staying at.

I piss on mine occasionally, the dog shits on it, I mow it when the dog gets lost and never water it. It looks fantastic, best in the street. I laugh as other people spend hours on there's cropping it every week and using lawn mowers that look more valuable than my car.
My old lawn looked even better but I did chuck on that one occasionally.

My brother pissed on my beautiful sir walter and now there's a dead patch, which I can't revive

My kids used to do that, Sir Walter is a bit poofy with dog or human urine.
I dug it out & lobbed it on the front seat of their cars after 2 warnings, seemed to work.
So yeah, dig the lawn out, watch out for pipes, leave the hose running on it for a spell, then top dress. Worse comes to worse I've got a Sir Walter going in a couple of weeks you can pick up an offcut on your way to work.
