Seriously? How's that going to work?
* Final five system with the top place getter getting the double chance, (ie. a rest in the first week and then picking the margin of the 1st semi final etc..)?
* Top ten returning to zero points and some other novel playoff system taking place?
* Top ten standing as is with their end of minor round totals counting toward the finals?
* Will margins be part of the finals competition?
* Have I swallowed this hook line and sinker?
* Does the "minor premier" win a doughnut?
Good question theri, I should have detailed my thoughts earlier but Im sure noone will accuse me of bias as none of my family look like making it.
My initial thoughts and the thoughts Id like to go with are:
Top 10 (or those tied with the tenth person) go through to the finals.
The tipping website can't handle the change of setup so it will be done manually on here.
The finalists will keep their score from the minor round.
Winners and margins will be picked for each match.
Margins will only be used to decide the top 3 at the end of the finals if there are ties.
For eg two people have 70 winners in first spot but person a's total margin is smaller so he/she gets first spot and person be gets 2nd spot.
If in a match (say North v Glenelg) person a picks North by 20 pts and person by picks Glenelg by 20 pts and North win the game by 30pts then person a will be deemed to be 10 pts away and person b will be deemed 50 pts away.
Minor premier will be awarded a bun simiilar to the crowds threads.
I hope that makes sense but any questions feel free to ask, Im glad we're getting things clear before we hit the business end.
It was never my plan to have everyone in the top 10 (or similar) to return to equal points, people who have built up a lead during the year deserve to hang onto it but they will be deemed to have choked if the minor premier doesn't win the big one!
