I had heard some whispers through the bald one but was not aware he'd made a firm call on that one as yet, my only advice to him (and anyone for that matter) is that you hear so many guys say they wished they'd given it another year or two & I think retiring early would be one of the worst regrets to live with.

As for Buckers, he's in that predicament where footy is not his only worry when injuries arise, you could excuse him for wanting to stay in one peice & just coach... I know alot of playing coaches that have decided they are a better coach from the sidelines & end up retiring "to coach", rather than retiring coz you can't go round again.

Will be a huge loss to the Rovers if he's not pulling the guernsey on... champion player, champion bloke. Much better player than his brother, lucky Brett didn't get the big ears holding him back..

Your spot on there, in all my years I've seen plenty of 18 year olds that "think" they can drink... this lad sure can put em away!

It's probably a subject at Uni, bluddy kids are lucky these days.

Your facilities are far better than ours Barry, and Undie man didn't want to play on our pint sized oval either, that's why it was played at Marion a couple years back... along with the fact he probably wanted you all to see his B&F pictures in the clubrooms

Any further word on how Shane Kenney has progressed, is he up & about yet or still laid up under repair? Imagine he'd be as keen as to get out & support you blokes in the finals...

Shane got his neck brace off last Tuesday and was at the match on Saturday.
He seemed in good spirit and will be around the club for the remainder of its finals campaign.

CM - I dunno mate about M. McConnell. Erkle missed a heck of a lot of games. So he'd have to poll more regularly in his games than someone like Kymbo who will poll a couple of threes, but also a lot of ones.

The thing Erkle has in his favour is he won't get too many votes stolen off him.

Kym will be competing occasionally against Hefford and the Vagg boys.

While we're on Kym - was he a bit nervous on the weekend? Wore his shorts backwards...

Sad news about John BTW. We have a fair bit of respect for him.

Kid has a lot of talent just needed the discipline, which it appears Rod has instilled into him.
Something I was unable to do at Paringa...

BD i would not say that u failed to instil disclipine in Raeder, watching this kid the last few years he has matured a lot and look at yourself BD did you have discipline at 17 years old. I know i didnt.
Very entertaining game of football at Moorook really worth the $5 entry, one of the best Ind games i have watched. Really showed Cobby that finals football is a different game so look out Grand final day.
In for Cobdogla
Renfrey
Wegner
Hill
Out
J Vagg a big loss
Maybe Brand another big loss but if he get outed for the slap on Munn the whole system is flawed. We in the Riverland have 2 umpires Reeks and Daff who continue week after week to make decisions that are bordering on trying to be bigger than the game and my opinion trying to be the centre of attention when they should be like a spoilt child seen and not heard. Reeks continues to take his schoolteacher mentality into games and Daff would be struggling to keep up with an Aus kick game.
