That wasn't so hard, was it?

Looking at the course, they double-back a few times so it wouldn't have been too hard to have sufficient medical staff on hand, not sure that they could've done too much more.
His fall prior to that looked sickening as there were kids right by, one old fella helped him up and then they all applauded as he carried on.

I'll keep this in mind.

You can lead a horse to water mate..... and by that time it's too late anyway - he should've taken the water and food about 5-10km back and kept hydrating.

This story would have taken a very different slant today if he had done that.

But you can't stop and then start mate. Obviously never ran a marathon, have you?![]()
In fact I believe he's closing in on Townsville now such was his inability to stop.

In the highly unlikely event both of us are in the same race I'll stop for you mate and that's even though I now know it's the wrong thing to do.
In fact the only race I can see us both in is either to a bookmaker or bar.
If it's the bookie then it's everyone for themselves, depending on when the race closes. If it's a bar you go, I'll wait here. Pale, thanks.

Should've piggy-backed him, he still would've won.................................well that's what I would've done.
