Any news on whats going on in the off season. I did hear that Grange had recruited well but then did see in the Sunday Mail that they are looking for a coach. Any news on Reynella entering?

With the cash that Grange allegedly throws around to attract cricketers, they should recruit well...

It looks like Reynella are entering the ATCA with their A Grade fielding a team in A3 meaning that only the premiers of B1 will rise up into the A3 comp. They should fit nicely into this grade.
All of this was decided at a recent ATCA comittee meeting.

A good decision by ATCA. Unley and Kilburn both earned the right to promotion to A2. If the ATCA was upfront to clubs and said Reynella were entering the comp in 07/08 and only 1 side would be promoted I dont the clubs would of had a problem. What is Reynella's response to starting in A3? I would of thought that that was a good intro in turf, look at Hectorville, they were meant to be hard wicket champions but have struggled to adapt, same for United Districts

Cant believe Reynella are in A3 what a trip hope we are playing home long way from the farmers. Ex Grange and Ingle Farm player Trevor Shepard coaching the Farmers weve had a drop in the last few years but we will be back

i think they will do pretty well in premier grade too.. they have some quality cricketers.
If they got another strike bowler to support Gaerth they would give some stiff competition in the top grade....

Ben Higgins to lead Grange this season. Good pick up, will they be the bench mark again?

Don't think that Reynella have a problem starting in A3, was talk of A2. It probably makes it harder to recruit the guys back who are playing for other clubs in Adelaide Turf and District. Will have a young B grade side.

Agree that it will take some time to adapt but some of the guys have had turf exeperience.

They are taking it seriously started training last Sunday. All fitness work.

In fairness though Hound, Reynella's best players have their best days behind them.
Hoppy, Gabb, Wrighty can't carry Reynella forever.
I know they got some good kids coming through but I would expect a few seasons of struggle.
Good luck to them though.

I have heard a rumour that the reigning Bradman medalist is being chased by a A1 side for this season. Also this same side has also recruited several handy Grade players also.

Any news on the comings and goings at the various A1-A3 turf clubs?

I have heard that Port Districts have signed up ex Woodville District Player Graham Cooper as coach who in turn has brought an abundance of recruits with him.

Also heard Watson may not be at Concordia this season. Does anyone know if he will still be playing there? If not then where he is headed?
