How many Maccy blokes doubled up in games during the second half of the season, but wouldn't play 'A' grade solely?? Shouldn't your Ones be the main priority?? I know Kersbrook have made the 'A' grade the No.1 Priority, picking the strongest 21 each week (Could Maccy say that??) which has stripped the 'B' grade a chance of playing finals. If Maccy had gone with this concept would Murph still be going??
Can't say that I disagree with what you say, I guess I was just responding to the people who think that there's quality footballers running around in the B's who won't play A grade when in reality they just aren't good enough. I do agree that there should be players putting there hand up to play A grade solely.
Know that I've been disappointed personally as I was dragged out of the closet this year with promises that things would be better, this that and the other, etc, etc, etc and I'm certainly no great footballer but in reality it's upsetting that guys won't train and I'm assuming that's because they know if they train, they'll be in line for A grade selection. In one players case, he didn't have a problem playing A grade at other clubs but historically, he's rarely put his hand up to do it for us.
I doubt it would have made any difference with Murph though because even if those players had put their hand up for A's it wouldn't have put any more wins on the board, the thrashings would have just been a bit less
