It is obvious you disagree with Bradman as his theory is poor at best.
A's and B's are two different competitions with different players, coaches etc.
Why should a team that scrapes into the finals get the home ground advantage against a team which has been superior all year?
Once again the amateur league has stuffed up and screwed someone over. I have a good source telling me the people running the SAAFL have a combined IQ of 37.
I'm not one to cause problems but the SAAFL are a major disgrace :(

DEAD SET
if they are 2 diff comp, why dont the reserves go up and down grades??
think before you put your stupid gob in gear!!![/quote]

Maybe my wording was not great but it is quite clear what i mean.
Two different teams, different players, different coaches, different ladder, different positions.
Dogwatcher (or mods) can you please ask Bradman to refrain from personal attacks in the future?
"think before you put your stupid gob in gear!!!- I come on here to discuss football, not be abused.

Don't be so precious Danny.
It's close to the line, but I'm sure we can let it go.

So what's the point of Trinity buying the home game?

Of course. But you pay that money out in the hope of recouping significant dosh in return. If you remove the B grade game and the additional crowd that comes with it, you a large proportion of that extra income.

I know the A grade home advantage is very important, but you don't pay the cash up front if you don't get all the benefits you should.

There probably isnt any but at least this move gives the chance for the wingfield people to see both games coz the A grade is starting at 2:30 rather than 2:15 as well it also give the chance for the henley guys to get back to shark park for our A grades final game so it is good for all concerned

Fair call DW but how many Wingies/Henley supporters were really gonna go there?

I agree they would no doubt be spewing, wonder if they can get their money back and tell amateur league to not worry about it?

Good point. But when you take on the home game - you have expectations. And those include hosting the B grade game - no matter how small the crowd is. They'd have known that Wingies/Henley would be playing They didn't know that the game would be moved.

Dogwatcher do not forget that both Trinity and St Paul's B Grade sides didn't make the finals so the amateur league probably thought the crowd would be pretty decent and would breakeven anyway. The problem with Trinity's set up is that their canteen is on the other side of the ground to where the coaches boxes and supporters are

Should be a cracker indeed as Bradman has said both sides play pretty loose so this one will be a shootout....I'm tipping a draw at full time and Wingfield to win by 2 pts in extra time :D
