How does everyone reckon it's going to go this weekend?

I'd be hugely disappointed if the Vikings lost, not necessarily because of what's riding on the game, but just because I think we should beat Philly.

Pats/Jags, I think the Pats experience will see them through again.

If we made it to the Superbowl, I would love to play the Pats as it would be great to beat the team that has been so good, and I think we have the team to do it. I'd be less conifdent if we played the Jags with their defence. With their offence v our defence it might be a 3-all tie!!

Yeah, seen that plenty of times on the TD, which is why I found the kick-off strange, but perhaps I got it wrong.

The flag was thrown on Diggs on the TD, not the PAT.

So it was thrown on the kicking team on the next kickoff. The Saints could either return the kick, or get a touchback, and add 15 yards to either.

So on a touchback they'd start at the 40. On a return to say the 30, they'd start on the 45.

Being the end of the game it doesn't matter. Hence why he threw his helmet. Why not? It looked cool.

In the Jags/Steelers case, I'm pretty sure they just give them the 5 yards. A touchbacks almost a win for the kicking team.

Guess my point was the 5 yards in the Steelers/Jags almost always leads to a touchback which seems like an anticlimax, whereas an extra point, ie two, to the PAT might add to the intrigue of the game.

I know you play the game so have more insight than I would, but interested you say the touchback is a win for the kicking team, as the majority of NFL kickoff return I see don't seem to make it to the 25 yard line. I understand there is a bit of risk/reward or satisficing in giving up some extra yards.

Sorry FH but I’m hoping for Philly v Jags SB
It’ll be a non superbowl if the Pats are there again.

There is still a question mark over Tom Brady's fitness for the AFC title match against the Jacksonville. He suffered a hand injury which apparently gushed blood and required stitches (running back Rex Burkhead was the Patriot who collided with Brady, causing the injury). He didn't train Thursday and was limited at training on Friday. He wore gloves on both hands to his presser and would not answer any questions with regards to his own fitness for the match.

I wonder what the Jags are praying for...

3qtr time
Jags 17-10 Pats

Jag will start final qtr with 3rd down and 10 on the 25 yard line
You’d expect at least an FG attempt if it goes 4 down

Lambo kicks the FG from 35 yds

Jags 20-10 Pats 14:52 last qtr

Lambo has missed only 1 FG all season

Pats now need 2 scoring plays
Gronkowski out for the game
