probably helps they had an easy win in the first game. certainly would relax you a bit as a captain

Not seen all of it but no I don't think so. He has been neat and tidy for mine.

Lacks the pace required for his stock ball which means he is easily dealt with by International batsmen? Hasn't got the toys (variety/movement) to trouble top-class batsmen. In others words a good domestic bowler but that's it.

Awful bowling attack. No spin options. No bowling all rounder with impact. Again i ask... how does a visiting team select a side better suited to a pitch than the home side? Either ignorance or arrogance from the selectors.
Repeated mental errors shows poor guidance. And Smith shows no gumption for the battle with Root clearly the better bat at this level. This shows why Smith could not be considered the Interrnational player of the year over kholi... he has mentally checked out after the ashes... but he aint on his own.
James Anderson claimed we have no bowling depth after our test quartet. We laughed... but how right he is.

Surely they stick with Carey in the ODI to give him exposure at the next level.
Paine has done nothing wrong but he won’t be around for ever.
