Yep he doesn’t deserve to be in the team.
I’d play Carey as a batter before selecting Head.

If Joe Root can make him look that inept Ashwin would be pissing himself laughing when he bats against him.

Second highest run scorer for Australia in ODI’s over the last 12 months. Surely gives him a bit of leeway?

Fair dinkum? I didn't realise haha!

No don't think it does unfortunately - take a look at how Maxwell has been treated.

Heads recent innings - 7, 5, 42, 29, 4, 39, 5, 71*, 53, 5

Career batting average - 35.03.. not sure that's good enough for a #4.

Chris Lynn may be brought back into the side to bat 4 in place of Head.

I think Warner will be rested at some point in this series, that's when D'Arcy will get his shot.

This innings an exact replica of the 1st ODI....
Warner and Smith both underwhelming.
Head fails and out in disappointing fashion.
Marsh and Finch steady ship but then both get out close together undoing their salvage job
Finch the star but not going on past 100.
Lessons not learnt... coach anf senior players asleep at the wheel.

Reckon the same script will bring about the same result. Our bowling line up is the lamest and least experienced in modern memory... and we have misread the wicket with no spinner. How does England guess the conditions better than the home team?

Very poor from management down. Heading for 9th loss in 10 games...

yep well said, agree entirely, looking at the Aust bowling lineup, Smith and Head are going to have to bowl 10 between them

Take ya biased goggles off Jim, he's probably the worst player of spin in the country even Joe Root had him in all sorts. Cant be picked for Australia again until he sortds out this deficiency. Also needs to start making tonnes consistently instead 30 and 40. Other than that he's not far off.
Not sure the Strikers need him in the form he is in, just restricts Ingrams time at the crease
