My top 5:
J Montgomerie 5-6 bogs in winning teams, 2 in loosing teams, different level to all in our comp. odds $1.40/1
C Harvey must poll well, many bogs so will get plenty of 1s and 2s odds $3.90/1
H Walker standout big man of the comp, no other even close when hes on odds $3.90/1
S Broad under the umps nose a lot and is in and under odds $6/1
S Braham super quick, plenty of clearances had a standout year odds $6/1

Think reidos missed a few early, may be wrong there. gun tho.

May be bit of bias there, however, i wouldnt expect you to say he is a class above the rest having seen him play twice this year Rooster, while sitting at full forward.
Take my word Rooster, its a very strong tip!

I reckon Brahamy would have to be a red hot favourite.
Don't forget big Lowey for the Bombers either. Playing State Country he must be doing something right.

i've actually seen more of him than you think Swampy, (Incidently both of those times he was less than impressive) I stand by what i said before, Good player? yes but class above? No i wouldn't have thought so, a couple of lads from your mob played league footy last year and you reckon he's a class above them, surely he would be on the AFL Radar.

I havent seen any games other than the ones Hummocks of played in so cant comment too much outside of what i've seen and heard. I reckon Luke Evans must be a chance. 4 or five bogs for Balak based on his name in the best players. i understand the umpires see things differently and the fact the peckers have been losing a few may not help.
Matty higgs should fare reasonably and will definately be up there in the best and fairest votes at the eagles. Had a purple patch spanning 5 or 6 games in the middle of the year but that was when hummocks dropped 3 games.
Brahamy may have missed too many but Riedy will poll pretty well. Cant see how Montgomerie is a class above the likes of a reidy, Ja Wilson or Joel Wilson Swamp. Or Hollit for that matter. I can assure you Hollit is a class above me but i hope i am not 2 or 3 classes behind these blokes :?
If umpires are fair dinkum, Hamely and virginia blokes should not even register. Good players or not one thing that annoys me is a team get pumped by 10 goals yet have a player in the top three on the ground. It just cant happen.
If umpires dont give votes to blokes mouthing off, as good as what whiskey is, he should finish in the negatives

Surely the award will have to go to a player in the top 4 teams. Your pretty well on the money with Luke Evans Wedgie. But I would like to see Swampie's odds for Chrissy Calyun from the Tiges. Very rare for him to be beaten down back. Even big Paul Vandenberg has had a good year.

Swamp the Bookie

C. Callyun: Solid in defence, apparently capable of laying big hip and shoulder :D Odds: $13.50/1
P Vandenberg: Odds: $21/1

If reidy has played most of the year, he should be a real contender. I think my bias on J Mont may have upset a few blokes by the sounds. Ill pull my head in boys :) , but he's my tip.

Not bad odds Swamp. $20 on Calyun.
I'm with you on Montgomery though. He's top 3 easy.

J. Lowe might be a chance. You never know with the umpires boys. Especially with the quality we've had this year!

Always good to hear from the fans of one Alexander Leo. I think the thoughts of most avid footy lovers around the traps this year are pondering: Will the humble hairybacked ram take to the field for a testomonial year in 2008. I think the game needs it!

Hopefully this might get Faxu's head up and out of the vegie patch. We re missing a bit of anger and mis-informed abuse from down south. Standup son and give big lethal Leo the praise he deserves!!!!!!!!!!

Odds: well id consider leaving the country if you have 10 bucks on him pilly and he gets up! All due respects to Alex Leo, the big man has carried Virginia for years, at 35-36 the fella would have played a and b grade on the same days on a few occasions this year, which shows you how much he must love that club, it would be great if Virginia was full of passionate blokes like Alex, im sure they'd be a competitive outfit each week. Not the most talented player out there, but at least he has a crack! :D

Did someone say Crack?!!

Alex has a Crack alright and where as the big unit has lined up on me on occasion and every now and then having to actually compete for it, the big bear will belt you if let him get hold of you, and besides that he was seen in the showers afterwards and yes he does have a big crack!! =D>
Calyun has been a pretty consistent performer over thew last three years and barely registers on trophy night so i think the Longies threat will come from "my man" Warnes, how that??

Not out you say, Well i'd reckon you'd look at about $20 in Swampie what do you reckon about wandering Warnesy.

And your point Wedgy about teams getting pumped is valid, but you can't deny Craig "The Hammer" Harvey has been outstanding in a team that is quite forgettable. Also has that Shaved headed bloke from Hummocks Done enough in the B-Grade?

Rooster could be onto something with Warnsey. Has been in a consistent performer for Longies all year. Shows a fair bit of leather is slipping out the side of packs into his hot hands!

Must say ol' Morris Leo would be up for a nomination in the Magoos. Has been playing again with Alex and puts in each week. I don't think his elbows are as sharp as Alex, but his skills certainly are. Good club men for the Rammers.

Dont think we have to worry about the shaved headed bloke for hummocks rooster. 2 and a half games and getting sent off for abusing umpires might count against him slightly. Coach wouldnt take him off for a rest against balak a few weeks back so he found his own way to the bench.
The medal should come from the top three clubs but the problem with the top three clubs is that they have such an even spread of players who often steal votes from one another.
Based on that, Two Wells or Balaklava will supply this years mail medalist.
Two Wells have got a few good midfielders that may hurt each other as far as votes go so my well educated tip for this years medal goes to Luke Evans.
Balak dont have the depth of other clubs and Evo is a stand out for them. Doesnt say much to the umpires and plays the game fair. I think he might win it by ten.
Swampy, im conservative so i'll only put $10 on him.
As anyone discussed premiership favourites 5 rounds ago possibly finishing 3rd? Who would have thought

Not sure where youve been for the past 12 months Wedgie but my mail tells me that Whisky Walker has got a few in the past couple of years. While he has not been as dominant this year he will poll well again im sure. Rolly McLean would also have been in the votes in the two games vs Mallala this year. I hope Evo does poll well cos hes a top bloke but, cant see picture him with a medal around his neck.

Your Right swampie, it won't happen, though who would have thought Gary Wehr would have one around his scrawny neck, but there you go. Let's do a history lesson shall we?

2006 - H.Walker - Balak - Played in GF and lost.
2005 - C.Young - Hamley - Played in Gf and lost.
2004 - T.Thorne and L.Slattery - the former played finals and the latter won it.

Seems winning games is pretty relevent, but we'll soon see, as we all know the blokes in white have a different way of looking at things and we all know how they umpire, could you trust them to pick the right bloke? No really, umpires, i love em.

And it's hard to feel sorry for your mate, Torp.
We all read his post's and he had a crack at just about everyone on here, some of his post's were barely legible, perhaps a few Bundy's were consumed prior.
i'm not surprised that he was banned, however i know one of the Moderators and he is a very level headed unit, i don't reckon he would have pounced without reason. This forum should be open to people to be able to say whatever they want but you still have to abide by certain rules. you said he was only speaking the truth, i don't know how much of what he said was the truth, he was sprouting off about the tribunal, the umpires and some incident at long plains and was told more than once to go to the league with his complaints, i can only hope he's done that and they've been followed up.

And just a comment on your "clicky" comment, i think you'll find there is quite a few contributors, we are the few that Choose to contribute regularly, we all conduct our post's with a reasonable amout of fun, humour and interest and try not to upset the other user's of this forum.
Sorry people I only deal in facts!

He was censored because what he posted could have brought this site into a litigation situation.

You can't name under age kids for hitting people, you can't claim that an organisation is rascist and you can't continually abuse other posters (including moderators).

I have no involvement with any clubs in the Adelaide Plains, so have no bias towards them.

This is a site to discuss football yes, but our friend crossed the line too many times.

Most of his posts were either insulting someone, contained allegations that were unsubstantiated or could not be understood.

He was also given several warnings, but chose not to desist. Sayonara.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.
