No John, the govt pay a baby bonus to new parents, it was $3k at the time the last mini smac was born, I believe it is more now. Supposed to assist with setting up life for the new little one but anecdotally it is being spent on luxury items such as plasma tv's.

I still have an old CRT tv - just for clarification.

people that get peed off at the littlest of things... FFS there are kids dying all over the world every second... surely there is more important stuff to get peed off about ... imho this is why we have such instances of road rage.. people are so strung out about the little stuff that doesnt really matter... they need a new perspective I reckon.. like maybe seeing a loved one pass away from some insipid disease and then i wonder how much they will worry themself with the little stuff, :?

I absolutely hate footy tips. Hundreds of thousands of people pretending they care about the game, their only reason is to win a few dollars on a footy tip comp.

Then I'll be your shining light!
I have never placed a bet on a football match [any code] in my entire life, so there can be only one reason I follow it.

To put this astonishing news in context, I should add that I have also never put anything into a poker machine, or bet on anything except the Melbourne Cup on three occasions - one win, one place, one washout.

I have occasionally bought tickets in charity supporting raffles but never won one. Just to complete the picture I gave up smoking after 3 puffs age 11, and I have been mildly drunk on three occasions, the last time 20 years ago! I did however chase women a fair bit in the gap between my two marriages, and had 6 girlfriends on the go when I met the one who became my second wife.

Does that help?

Don't drink, smoke or gamble, that's fairly responsible living.
Surely you're lying about being married, why do you think men do those things???

I didn't say I don't drink - I just don't get drunk - I'm a quality not quantity man, and my well-trained "Obedience Wife" gave me a bottle of the 25 year old Macallan Scotch for Christmas.

PS to scoob - No, I don't know AG - must check his posts - perhaps he's a son I don't know about left over from my bachelor days!

Polar opposites I would think.

Drinks a lot. Gambles plenty. I imagine smokes like a chimney. A real ladies man I reckon...
