Port will be average next season. Lots of depth out and looks like they'll be replaced with kids.

Adelaide will be a bit stronger though.

What’s it matter when they don’t care if they win or lose?
Port will be top 2 again IF they want to be.

As far as I can tell, it wasn't announced at presso night.

Reichert, Collier, Stevens and Edmead have announced departures.

Wally's name isn't on his locker anymore either.

Shame that, I thought Wally still had a bit left in the tank. Injuries cruelled the lad.

Interesting. If I recall correctly 'boofa' was coaching in the amateurs this year. Was at South a couple of years ago with Gotch.

Henley probably could have shown a bit more class and allowed South to announce it, pretty ordinary...

From the President
It is with mixed emotions that I inform Club Members that our Premiership Coach Jarrad ‘Boofa’ Wright has accepted the position of senior coach with the South Adelaide Football Club.
While I expect that many of you, just like me, will be disappointed and saddened by this turn of events, we should also feel an immense sense of pride that another Henley Football Club coach has been selected to ply his trade at the senior level of South Australia’s premier competition.
Boofa will now join with Gavin Colville, another outstanding servant of our Club, to coach in the SANFL senior competition next season. Both Boofa and Scratchers appointments is further evidence that Henley Football Club continues to provide a pathway, not only for our Juniors but also to those at the most senior positions our Club can offer.
On behalf of all Club Members I congratulate both Jarrad and Gavin on their appointments and wish them the all the very best. The Henley Football Club will as one, celebrate the future successes that will surely come their way.
I can also inform Members that representatives of our Football Department are currently in discussion with several likely candidates to fill the senior coaching position at HFC. Members will be advised as soon as an appointment is made.

I'm a big fan of Wally. He made a difference for us in the back half of the season.
I'd be disappointed if he has resigned, but not surprised.

They'll need him with all the names I've heard who are leaving Agnew, Howard, McBean, Merritt, T.Milera, Macfarlane all leaving just to name a few.

Howard retired (body is cooked), Agnew travelling (returning to the club in 2019), McBean travelling, Macfarlane & Vitkunas playing country footy.
I’m unaware if Milera has left.

Unfortunately this is true. Signed on as a top up. He is sad about going but got such a good offer that involves a job and some coaching.
