That's a good point Jimmy, some have on here and The Roost but those posts are definately in the minority.
As my hangover and anger clears I'll try to analyse other aspects of the game.
I'll start with the ruck as the ruck contests between North and Eagles always intrigue me with O'Hara being an ex Eagle.
It was damn close contest with North just managing to keep their 2007 undefeated hitouts versus the competition in tact (31 - 29).
But just analyising the ruckmen its intriguing as to how close their stats were as it was a great battle:
Wakelin & O'Hara 27 hitouts
Lindsay & Dabrowski 27 hitouts
Wakelin & O'Hara 15 possessions
Lindsay & Dabrowski 7 possessions
Wakelin & O'Hara 5 marks
Lindsay & Dabrowski 1 mark
Wakelin & O'Hara 2 tackles
Linday & Dabrowski 3 tackles

Eagles win toss.
1st quarter:
2.35 mark B.White goes down with hamstring.
Eagles 1st goal was actually off McIntyres leg, umpires cost us 5 pts
Wedgie wrote:North 1st goal from strong D.White goal, no umpire influence.
Wedgie wrote:11.48 mark, take note -, Banger runs back into the pack with Dabrowski bearing down on him and commentator mentions how he does that week in week out and how he's to be admired.
Wedgie wrote:15.52 mark, Perrie takes a mark 60 metres out, the Eagles Hier runs over the mark by 5 to 10 metres (commentators even made mention) no 25 m penalty, no goal from resultant play.

Lomas, too, stringnig a few games together and showing what he can do. Fiacchi maturing as a player.

That J Stewart is a gun, LEH and EHL told me to keep an eye on him when I caught up with them before the game and he didn't disappoint, he looks all class. What's his background?

FWIW would Paul Stewart be a better choice than Schwarze? From what I've seen, Schwarze seems inconsistent and sometimes thinks it should be easier because he's been an AFL player. Perhaps those who've sen more games than me this year can comment?

The Eagles supporters I talked to were all disappointed he got dropped as they'd been impressed by his form.
Mind you, same deal with North and Wundke too.

Finals will be interesting. I can't see the Eagles beating Centrals, but I can see Sturt and North doing so (not because they've done it during the minor round), but can't really see these two beating the Eagles when it's all on the line.
