and he says "sandbaggers win!" then few posts later says "we aren't sandbaggers, never said we were!"
A real mastermind when it comes to mind games and throwing opposition teams off the scent.
Congratulations to Elizabeth today in the reserves. I have said all season that you are the best team and today was no different. We had our chances but just couldn't convert our inside 50s and you made us pay down the other end. A tough way to lose but that's footy. Good luck in your endeavors to get back into div 5 in the coming years.

The sting in the tail!
This is Tony Clifton! A name to respect! A name to fear!
Amazing scenes at Edwardstown. Elizabeth who were behind all day, kept themselves within striking distance and when it counted the boys lifted, led by Warhorse Peter Furber, Skipper Caffer and Justin Platten. Its all a bit hazy now but ball was pushed forward and sent into the hotspot where Ben Clark marked facing away from the flight. Nervously the strong EFC contingent watched him slot it through for his 99th goal of the season! Siren blows soon after. Broke a 12 year premiership drought at EFC and what a sweet win it was!

Turning point was when the Pulteney player got red carded. Stupid thing to do as they were in control of the game and then had to play ten minutes with 17 players which let Elizabeth back in. Credit to to the Eagles who kept at and didn't give in all day.

He was wearing #17 too Got more touches getting strapped by the trainers than he did on the field.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.
Well done to Pulteney in the A grade, didn't stay to watch but looked on top from the start. Clearly the better side all year.
The B grade was an amazing win. Second time this season we've beaten them in the dying seconds. Class game of football and both sides gave a great account of themselves. Elizabeth had no right to win but will power and discipline got them over the line in an amazing finish. A couple of my favourites were out there - Jussy P and Ryan Hollamby and they played great games. Enjoy, boys.
