That was frustrating. We were good enough to put 4 or 5 past them. Some of Thailands defending was insane

A win or draw tomorrow night against Japan all but sees Australia qualify for Russia

That result is a massive bonus for the Socceroos. Even if they slip up against Japan, they are still a chance, so long as they have a big win over Thailand.

Didn't they only draw with the ladyboys las time they played?

Yes they did draw in Thailand, but they were a little nervous that night, as you would expect, being their first time with the ladyboys. Second time round they should be a lot more comfortable and get an easy win.

Since then they've done nothing.
Last time we played them home, in Perth, they copped a pounding.

Hes been gone almost a year now too!

Great effort by the Thais considering they had nothing to play for.

When you dick around with it until they get 10 back they can easily defend

20 shots and hit the post 3 times, their defending had bugger all to do with the result. Was more the atrocious performance of our players and some baffling coaching decisions

Leckie was frustrating tonight. Started like a house on fire but his crossing was terrible.

why do they need to shoot so wide? of course them flooding the line had everything to do with the misses

Has always been a terrible crosser. Needs to stick to what he does best and that's flying to the wing and cutting across defences. Unfortunately we haven't got enough quality crossers in this side

Because we have guys with poor skills that can't hit a target. Would of been atleast a dozen chances with only the keeper or 1 defender in the box

France drew 0 - 0 with Luxemburg the other day. They had 34 shots, but still couldn't score. On any other day they may have scored half a dozen. Same with Socceroos.

Syria it is after their last minute equaliser, far better option than Uzbekistan. Happy we have to take the long route, if we aren't good enough so be it

Definitely.

Uzbekistan are a solid team although they struggle in WCQs for some reason.

The away leg against Syria will be played in Malaysia as well.
