Rookie mistake pal, everyone knows you need to see the blokes just outside the doors to the club with the eakies, I believe all the money from those sales goes to football club?

Yeah i did have a good chat with Matty after the game and he explained about his 150th. Felt sorry for the bloke as our game was stopped 10 minutes into the third and then finally called off half way thru the last and he didn't really get the send off he deserved.
Like you said ripping bloke but.

It makes sense if you're running a social club from the 80s. As in, a lot of our administration is handled by the sports club - utilities, wages etc. We dont have any really huge expenses - other than strapping! The Sporting Club provide a facility and a bar manager for lots of different groups - from the tennis club to the dog club to the emu club to Wednesday arvo retiree bingo.carey wrote:morell wrote:Sadly we dont see a dime
This scenario was explained to me Saturday night seems crazy. Is this likely to change or it's just the landscape your in at the sporting club?

Surely he's played more than that? I played in the 99 Premiership with him.

When I looked at the MYOB database I calculated that football provides, conservatively, about 65% of that revenue. Approx 50% goes in employee costs - wages, insurance, annual leave, super etc. My very strong position is that for 6 months of the year during footy season that bar should be run using volunteers of the football club and the profits after costs of sales returned to the football club.
I'll do the math: (220*0.65)*0.5=71.5

What number have you tried to calculate?
Are you saying $71,500 would be the profit if the footy club ran the bar using volunteers?

morell wrote:Yes, Trader. Approximately.
Utility costs are covered in the other 50% Off The Wall
As I said, the bar breaks even. $220k in, $220k out. Just a tick over 100k on employee costs - this is on figures from a few years ago it could have changed.
