TRINITY OS v WEST CROYDON
Summary
Whilst this match doesn’t hold the same level of ramifications around the outcome as the other matches, the importance is equally as significant.
Trinity OS have locked away their finals spot, and helped their percentage at the weekend with an 82 point victory over Mawson Lakes. Their next aim is to see how high they can finish, being equal on wins with Ingle Farm, and only a game behind Elizabeth and Brahma Lodge a double chance – whilst unlikely – isn’t out of the question.
The Tossers would need to win both their remaining games and have results fall their way to finish top 3, but worst case it likely secures them a home Elimination final.
West Croydon have fallen well off the pace over the season, but will be eager to damage other sides finals aspirations and will be hell bent on causing an upset in this match.
Bottom line – Trinity OS must win and win well, or be resigned to the fact they’ll be playing an away Elimination final in a fortnights time.

Five Points
• Last time they met Trinity OS leap frogged West Croydon on the ladder and into the 5 for the first time with a stirring come from behind win away from home. Trailing by 10 point at the last break, Mal Ah Matt cut loose as the Tossers kicked 8 goals to 2 and ran out 30 point winners.
• Although they haven’t been a prolific scorer this season, their attack ranked 6th in the division, it’s been the miserly defence, which is the third best, averaging 71 points against each week getting them results.
• No Woodcock, no West Croydon. When the electrifying utility is well held, the Hawks struggle to penetrate opposition defence.
• Trinity play their press as well as anyone else in the division, and their fitness amongst the best, the Hawks will be hoping for rain and plenty of it to nullify that.
• You have to go back to Division 5, 2013 to find the last time Trinity OS were able to beat the Hawks twice in a season, with West Croydon generally holding the ascendancy in recent years.
BIG WEEK FOR… Rocco Spangolo
Despite being the second leading goal kicker for Trinity this season, has struggled since his 6 goal haul against Mawson Lakes, adding a paltry 6 goals in 7 games since then. Has only kicked 3 goals or more on three occasions, with 4 against Ingle Farm the only significant return against a finals side.
Another poor return and he may be enjoying A grade finals as a spectator.
Prediction
Trinity OS by 67 points
