I heard Hackham have had a large influx of money come into the club recently. There's some rumours this money will provide a lifeline for the club.

Yeh I'm a bit suspect on the rumour also but I have heard a lot of people bring the topic up now. I heard it's quite a large sum of money.

Hackham receiving money only a rumour, Blackwood and Edwardstown not coming, Morphie Park staying and Hackham going to try and hold on again - nothing will change in 2008 unless the league do something which they wont.....

They should be serious and say if your A grade gets beaten by more than 30 goals five times in a season then crisis talks should take place and if no answers or serious plans then fold or move on.

Yeh Fudd Emus play Brighton, H/Valley play Winies, Shoes play Marion for a spot in the 8, your mob play Flaggies which could be good, basically Hackham are playing Morphie Parks so there wont be any thrashings this week

Emus over Bombers 5 goals
Bushpigs over Sharks 7 goals
Roos over Smackem 12 goals
Winies over Vikings 2 goals - would have picked Valley but just beating Saints - disgrace
Shoes over Rams 1 goal (Shoes Home Game)
Porties to belt Saints 10-15 goals buiding up for finals
Cove at home over Lions 6-10 goals

Some good games the emus v brighton game i think will be a good one, Glenelg with the bye so I'm sure there will be a few younger lads stepping up to help out, should be a close one, think marion easy over Noarlunga and the Wineflies in another close one. If Aldinga can keep their heads that to could be a good game, just fitness a question with Flaggies being a quick side.

And to footy nuts comment earlier about Hackham, I'm sure if you were on the receiving end you wouldn't let the league just sweep you aside. I know It may be hard for some of the top teams to understand but.....Hopefully things will turn around. I would understand if they were forfeiting then yes you would have grounds, but use Aldinga for example although are still in a rebuilding phase and have been beaten by more than 30goals on many occasions they are starting to turn around and have good numbers and spirit surely you can't kick sides out that want to be there.

Good luck to all on the weekend

I agree RF, not a good thing to just boot teams out but not a good thing to get belted without having a plan of recovery rather than saying that we will hang in there - 14 teams too many for 1 div and not enough for 2 divs something has to happen and guess what nothing will - and no other clubs will want to come in so some have to go for SFL to survive.

thats true but I think it's a big slap in the face to Aldinga to compare them to Hackham! Aldinga are rebuilding yes but they are definitely heading in the right direction could you honestly say that Hackham have improved in the past couple of years? If anything they're getting worse!

I can see where your coming from definately it is a hard call. I guess like you said before if the club doesn't have an action plan then thats their own fault, but on the same token some things do take time. It would be good to see the league actually step up and either help out or try to ressurect the issues that have risen from such big beltings. I feel the way they stopped the bottom sides from playing the top sides twice, was half a good move but as you can see has done nothing for Hackham. Tough call I would hope that some of them could read these forums and maybe take in what people feel. Yet again SFL a confusing situation.

Sorry guys......just got back from having my immunisations so I can make the trek down to emu park this weekend....don't want to risk contracting anything from the disease ridden ferrals that congregate there on Saturday afternoons....

If the weather turns out wet i reckon the Bombers can cause an upset in a tight one.....

And what if its dry there franky?
Beat the whites of eggs with a pinch of salt until stiff...Continue beating, gradually adding sugar, vinegar and vanilla, until of thick consistency.
