@redsox I seriously doubt that is the case at all. Apparently they have 10 or so missing out on a game every week. I know Fielke is a big believer in blooding youngsters, no matter the age, seen him do it with a young player at imperials by the name of Chad Wingard, at age 15. Kicked a lazy 5-6 in a GF from memory.

Where's @RAMS on here? He can probably elaborate.

Yeah I think Ironbank will give the top 2 a big scare!!!

How can this possibly be considered fair? Would love to hear this justified by somebody involved in the leagues management. I'm not suggesting this is the main reason behind the seasons results but it certainly doesn't help. It's not like the smaller clubs need any more extra hurdles to being competitive.

that is nothing short of a disgrace.

Entertaining game at the gums.
Kangy right in it to 3/4 time. Had the gums players arguing amongst themselves.
Just didn't go on with it.

They'll get a big scalp this season for sure.

Noticed yesterday they played a Junior Colt in the A grade.

Nairne have too many points players, which means they have to play 2 senior colts each week ( with a value of -1 point each), just so they can get their paid players on the park.

It's a dangerous approach to take if the two senior colts players are not the 20th and 21st best players at the club. Time will tell if it pays off.

Yeah might be nairnes Achilles heel!
I think that Fielke would know what he's doing a little more than us, coach of the country div interleague team and has coached SA country before.

And about Maccy, them only getting 10 to trainings and being cut back to only one night a week doesn't have anything to do with how they are travelling?

I completely agree that the HFL doesn't put enough time into the fixture though.
Is there a possibility that Maccy merge with say meadows?

Since Fielke has coached NAIRNE has always blooded colts players no matter what our points situation is. We do not need to play kids each week but we definitely choose too. We have played points players in reserves early in the year. As part of a strong junior development program 6 juniors have debuted again this year in a carefully planned strategy. Good long term thinking that will benefit the club long into the future.

Unfortunately for us when we are in winning positions we just don't know how to win and it isnt easy to change a losing culture but only with hard work and persistence and trusting your instincts when the game is there to be won will we start winning these games!

To play Gale, McGahey, Diprose, Dyer & Ladhams in the A's, you need to.
I'm not against as we had to do it last year. But don't say you don't need to when you do.

FWIW, great A grade game yesterday at Birdwood. Game up for grabs with about 10-15min to go but Nairne got their noses in front and were just too good in the end.
B grade was a bit of a disappointment for the Courier cup. Thought Nairne would put up a fight but Birdwood controlled the game from about half way through the first and Nairne never looked like getting close.
Good to see the HFL hand over the Premiership flag for the courier cup win yesterday.... The three HFL officials didn't even notice they had the wrong one until Birdwood gave it back to them.....

Dont look at the scoreboard.

Gale is a Zero pointer as is a past local. Mistake on sporting pulse that will be fixed. Did not need to play any kids Saturday but still played 2. Executing club policy to promote and develop juniors.

Not for points I smell a BS. If it's not for points why not play lads that have just come out of senior colts that are runnng around in the B grade? You have some talented kids playing B grade that are surely better than a Junior Colt.
If it is a club policy to play Colts before talented 19 year olds that want to play A grade I would tell my lad to find another club.

Fair enough if it's a mistake but I'd be getting that fixed up pretty quick to avoid any confusion on game day!
I've got no problem with NB playing colts as long as they warrant a game which if I've got the right kid, he looked ok on Saturday.

Huge effort from Bridgewater considering they have a coach that can't. Doing it all off their own back

Have a coach that can't what?

Bridgey definitely have the wood over the Rams. They seem to combat their run very well!

What happened at birdwood yesterday? The roosters had a 5 goal lead at 3 quarter time then kersbrook put on 12 goals to nothing in the 4th to win by 7 goals. The score line suggest birdwood were on top of them all game aswell.
