if wesley wins the medal after missing half the year id have to say that the umpire must be great mates with him, as he got about 48 of a poss 60 last year, mmmm who knows
THE NEW ERA BEGINS.....HIRD AND THOMPSON.....EX CAPTAINS EX CHAMPIONS EX.....cellent choice

If he wins the medal (Div 6R) this year it will just confirm that he got absolute favouritism every other year. A golden grove or hope valley player will win it this year i reckon...?

You getting nervous Bartman?

The final round of matches for this yr and there is some massive games here with a lot on the line for many teams-
Golden Grove v Adelaide University- GG may even rest a few here and give them 2 weeks to freshen up, but will still win by 25goals+
Westminster OS v Lockleys- Lockleys in a tight one and will get 5th spot.
Houghton Districts v Blackfriars OS- houghton may go the knuckle, but you'd expect friars to win comfortably.
Mitchell Park v West Croydon- Mitchell pk will go down swinging and get relegated. WC to win here.
Hectorville v Hope Valley- heccies play well at home and will win, just. It will be the battle of the hounds in wk 1 of the finals.

GG v Uni - Golden Grove to win easily - doubt they would rest players given they would have the first week off in finals - plus it could jeopardise their b grade finishing top, as Uni aren't too bad in the ressies
Westminster v Lockleys - Lockleys to win by a few - stay 5th - hopefully
Houghton v Friars - Looking at the way Houghton played last week - friars to win easy
Mitchell Park v West Croydon - this could get ugly - but WC to win easily - MP to be relegated
Heccies v Hope Valley - Hope Valley back in a bit of form - will be a close one - Valleys by under 5g
I'm proud of you fellas. You all kept your head on a swivel, and that's what you gotta do when you find yourself in a vicious cock fight!

In the dry Valleys to get pumped by Heccies. Big deck and the chance to run wont suit hope valley.

I wouldn't be so quick to say a running game doesn't suit the Demons, the boys are as good as any side in the comp on the run. Wet or dry the Valleys are going over to Heccies ready to play, no excuses and expecting a cracker of a game! Demons by 3 goals.

Golden Grove v Uni - Golden Grove to make it a winless year for the blacks
Westminster v Lockleys - I reckon Westminster might steal this one. Seen it happen so often after a good win
Houghton v Friars - Blackfriars, but Houghton will take it up to them with their pride on the line
Mitchell Park v West Croydon - Draw. Game to be abandonded after too many all in brawls. WC to make the five
Heccies v Hope Valley - Both teams have beaten Blackfriars in the second half of the year and the winner will go into the Qualifying final confident of doing it again. Both teams have lost to WC recently and would be dreading coming up against them in an elimination. Too close to call. Another draw would do just fine though...

Your backline has a bit of speed but thats about it really, i think valleys midfield doesnt like the open spaces as much as heccies, maybe they'll have to bring a couple of young quicker guys up from b's??? should be a interesting out come thats for sure

There might even be a bit of rain around. Who knows? I think we've got some pretty quick players running around in the A's. But like you said, it will be an interesting outcome with the winner very deserving of 3rd spot. Let's just say I'll be barracking for whoever wins and plays in the Qualifying Final...

To Demon players or supporters. Speaking to a bloke associated with the coach, said that Charlie Wintle has been or was thinkin of making a few phone calls around the traps to 'encourage' former players back to the club who are playing in higher divisions for next year. If so then he is taking a big step forward for the club. I know i mentioned the amount of quality players that used to play for the club earlier in the year, was just wondering if you guys had heard who he is after if its true???? If it is the case, how are they going to be 'enticed' seeing as though most would be on some form of payment. If you guys could pinch a Grand Final birth it would probably go a long way to helping. Thoughts???

I'm not sure what Charlie may or may not be up to. But if he is, then I'll get behind him 100%. It's probably 5 years overdue that our club started to try and get a few blokes back and if anyone can do it, a bloke with charlie's good reputation can! Sneaking into Div 5 would certainly help, but isn't critical. The future is certainly looking bright 8) at the valley, regardless of who we may or may not be getting...
