They will rebound and unfortunately I can't see South getting within 10 goals. Normaly when a coach is sacked the players respond (especially when they are meant to be pleased he has gone!) but that didn't happen today. Centrals to record a comfortable win......

Appartently the South players kept Pyman out of the rooms after a game a couple weeks back. They were talking about him (Pyman).

At this stage i'm planning on heading out there on sat night. Some have questioned my sanity :-k

You know you're having a bad run when you come up agianst the Doggies after a loss for the second time this year. (given they've only lost twice!)

It could get ugly. We did lose a game out there 5 years ago by 30+ goals. At least we'll get closer than that :?

6:30 it is.

I remember that game. My cousins now ex husband worked as a junior development officer at South at the time, and for about the first time ever was needed at the reserves/league fixture instead of the 17s/19s because some other official was unavailable that day. My grandparents, former regular attendees, ever since the dogs were only in the reserves comp actually, went to their first non finals match for some time. We saw him and he wasn't too confident about the day, and then he heard Dean Brogan was out and not replaceable because the team sheets had gone in and was hurt during the warm up. Great day.

Although we will still be playing nowhere near our best, I anticipate that we will get home comfortably in this one. The game I am eagerly waiting for is the one the following week - hopefully revenge against Sturt.
Cheers!

Roy will be looking for a skill improvement from here on, and a bit of an accountable display than last week, but you can't just suddenly switch it on and off. We do need to build from here on I think. The funny thing is about half a dozen boys have been struggling with the flu of late. If this is restricting their running work at training we might find we have less legs in the finals instead of more because some are our prime movers!

Current odds:

Central $1.05
South $10.00

Is that the longest odds this year?

Any chance Central can get into the spirit of charity round and fall over so we can all take the $10.00 odds?

Two chances, Wedgie. One of those is a Collingwood player *grins*
Just don't let the Central players know the odds that are being offered though! Could be tempting!! *grins*

Rain over the next few days will mean a heavy ground and heavy legs given Central's current training load. Will go some ways to counterbalancing South's current indifference. I'd be happy with a ten goal win.

Edit:- Not wanting to sound arrogant, but barring Central being on the end of consecutive 20 goal thrashings the over the next few weeks, the scoreboards are irrelevant. 'Captain Obvious' time, but the games may (should?) be seen as no more than good hard training runs, making the best of (possibly) having only one match in the five weeks leading (hopefully) into the Grand Final. Can't see the 'dogs taking South lightly, despite recent form.
