I recall him playing for Woodville ressies, number 28 if my memory serves me correctly, and yes, I do recall seeing his name appear in the "Football Times" must read paper, I bought it religiously as a kid every Thursday, the newsagent lady used to put one aside for me, well, under her stool.

It was awesome, I've still got a few stashed away somewhere, Gordon Armstrong was the main writer who is still kicking along writing in the Messenger papers I think.
Footy Times must have came out on a Thursday I'd say, it was always in the change rooms after training.
Grab a few West End Draught cans, a few fags and have a read.
