Barmera are fifth. Won't make the finals. Very young side.
Mark's been playing for the three years he's been here. Has been a solid contributor, represented the league and this year has been one of his side's more consistent players.

Robert Pyman is better suited to AFL system. He has good ideas but his interpersonal skills with what he calls his second tier players is terrible. The young players found him impossible to talk to. He was too arrogant, had his favourites and at selection always targeted the usual suspects. If you dared raise an issue with him you usually ended up in the twos. Ask Ben Warren or Michael Handby or Leigh Kruger or Rodney Love(now at Langhorne Creek) or Mark Demasi ( Now at Goodwood). Pyman did not develop Alwyn Davey, Rhys Archard, Stephen Kenna, Matthew Smith as was quoted in the Tiser. Look through the South list and there are very few local product players. Some very talented ex South locals are now out playing country football. That's why your thread on Loxton and Loxton North is so spot on. Develop the young lads and they will repay your club big time.

Recollect - despite his premiership success, I understand that Lefty has always been fighting those elements at North. It's not just been happening this year.

Could HE coach Barmera next year....or could he and Rod form a partnership there (if as you say Rod's looking at having a crack at a higher level). They're good mates aren't they?

There may be another ex independent coach who may throw his hat in to the ring, in my estimation maybe better suited than Rod

Here's another thought:

'Buff' Tyrrell back living in the region.

Could he have some involvement with the club next year?

Is everyone sleeping in the Riverland on a Sunday morning. Loxton result good considering Jamahl well held by Safralidis for much of game and Leigh Kruger not well and off after half time. Some real depth in club with Kirk, Jesse Smith, Quinn, Thiele,Liam Williams , Manuel and then some experience with Fisher,Montgomery, Hann and so on. Nick Uren is very adaptable and is one who could play at a higher level. Berri lack a real physical presence that Renmark and Barmera have. Cheers.

Wunkar easily over Brown's Well - keeping finals hopes alive.

Waik over Renmark - after being behind most of the day.
Barmera over Loxton North - after it looked like the Panthers might sneak a win
Loxton over Berri easily.

Notes:

Current replacement coach not so certain to be retained next year.
Mick Zerna keen to coach again....

loxton were a bit flat on saturday but still got away with a big win. kirky played a great game, would have got close to 15 marks, most of them contested, and played a bit in the middle in second half.
which coach would that be dw? one hailing from the south east?

Loxton very happy with Leigh Kruger. Club very happy with the way he talks to the players and his maturity.

I'm sure southern fan would be interested to hear that.

Yeah, he's pretty impressive for 24 or so. I played under Adrian Cachard at tanunda a few years back and he was also a very good player coach, but was probably closer to 30. so leigh is doing very well for someone so young. players seem to respond to him pretty well.

Mick Zerna still spends a fair bit of time at loxton. was in the rooms at the weekend. would be interesting if he ended up coaching against them.

Renmark played really well on the weekend.
Should have won but fell away in the last quarter.
Pretty disappointing effort after so much work in the first 3 quarters.
Will regain Craig Seekamp and Dave Bickmore for this week's match.
Adam Dunhill did a teriffic job on Oliver. Got under his skin all day.
Interesting to see Aaron Camplin and Shane Clonan going toe to toe. Looked very funny.

CF - You've got to be jealous that I got to sing the song with the Cats on the weekend.
Of course Barry wanted to sing with the Lions, but they lost so I ran as quickly as I could down to Kardinia Park to see my good mate David Wodkinski and the boys.
Then I roundhouse kicked them all for winning the minor premiership and stole the McClelland trophy off them.
