East Torrens vs Sturt at Campbelltown - think I'll go with the home team in a tight one. They'll have Lehmann in on Saturday I expect so an important coin toss.

West Torrens vs Northern Districts - top vs bottom! Eagles.

Adelaide vs Woodville - 7th vs 9th. You'd think the loser here will be out of the race for the final four whereas the winner is in with a sniff. Huge game. Do these two teams have a bit of spice when the play or am I imagining things? Tough one to tip. Woodville's bowling attack not having the impact of previous seasons. Valente in the Shield team though? reckon that may tip things in Woodville's favour.

Uni vs Port - the Blacks are really missing Andy Delmont. Don't think they can knock off Port who will have Ludemann AND Cooper in what is a pretty formidable top order. Port's season building nicely.

Southern Districts vs Glenelg - Tipping a draw here! Just can't see either team taking 10 wickets. Glenelg have a strange attack. Medium pacers Fox and Rice... then spin? Pudney injured? Glenelg 25 points behind Port (4th) who have the bye to come so a must win game for them.

Prospect vs Kensington - Amazing run chase last week from Prospect. Must have been a heart-breaker! Tipping the Browns here.

306 for Sturt vs East Torrens. Brad Davis 151, having a great season again.

Jets a competitive 221 vs West Torrens but I don't think they have the bowling to defend that. Daniel Drew 6 wickets - killing it this season.

Adelaide 4/357 vs Woodville :o Long day for the Peckers... only 4 wickets, one of them a run out. Raphael 148, tuning up for the Shield game.

Some juice in the deck at Uni? Won the toss and bowled, Port all out 77. Winter 8 wickets! Uni 200 ahead

Bays 292, Stingrays 3/43 in reply. Game over. George Hankins a ton. Surely one of the better young English prospects going around?

A day for the bowlers at Prospect. Browns all out 124... Pirates all out 73

West End Cup One-Day Finals: Adelaide couldn't back up from a great day with the stick yesterday, managed 7/168 which the Eagles passed 1 wicket down. K Smith back in form with 84*. Port had a huge win over top ranked Kensington. TTG look like holding off Woodville but game is still going, Peckers need 36 runs in 9 overs with 2 wickets remaining. Assume the semis will be WT v Glenelg and Port V TTG/Wood....

Woodville lost by 4 runs.

Reckon SACA changed rules two seasons ago after semis were always a disaster and unfair.

Think now the highest qualify for semis plays the lowest qualifier.

If so, would be West Torrens vs Port Adelaide at Henley Oval, and Glenelg vs TTG at Gliderol.

But who knows with SACA!!

That would actually make sense if it's highest ranked versus lowest ranked

Heartbreaker for Woodville! Tea Tree Gully just keep finding a way in short form cricket.

Yes, he was reported, was pretty bad apparently.

He was given out caught behind, he stood at the wicket waving his bat, saying "I didn't effin hit it, what the **** did it hit, etc" then not leaving, and carrying on as he finally left.

No doubt the Redbacks will weave their magic and make sure it disappears or he gets a reprimand, but Cosi got three games for similar offence before Xmas, so will be interesting what happens!

Don't think there's any cases of the Redbacks 'waving magic wands' in these cases. They have no power at all over the tribunals. Cameron Borgas missed Shield games as did Kane Richardson for grade cricket breaches.

Hope he doesn't get done as he's a fantastic young player but hopefully what was posted above isn't true or is an exaggeration. Young player going places doesn’t need to drag himself down with that rubbish.

Port not impressed with Uni on the weekend. Although this came from Port source, they were told Wednesday night that the curator of Uni's oval was told to provide a green top that would produce 20 wickets, when he refused he was threatened with the sack if he did not do it.

Considering it is normally a road there, this is pretty disgraceful. They know they need outright wins to make finals, looks like it has worked this week anyway!

What's wrong with preparing a deck that's going to suit your game/needs?

I would've thought that was one major benefit of home games in Turf cricket that you could prepare decks which would give your side the best chance to win?

Nah grain of salt that excuse....reckon Port got stitched on a first session seamer once the sun came out is was flat.

Not long ago I watched a 50 over game at University Oval and the side batting first found it extremely difficult than the side batting second.

I thought SACA centrally managed the wickets and curating contracts now? And funded them as well.

Didn't think curators were answerable to the club as much as previously.

Uni were 5/60 at one stage, so 15/137 with batting line ups including Ludemann, Cooper, Weatherald.
