We caught an Uber to Melbourne airport yesterday with a driver who I struggled to have a conversation with because I couldn't understand a single word of EnglishAnyway, we jumped out and grabbed our bags, but my GF left her purse sitting on the seat, which we didn't realise until we were off the plane in Adelaide and she went to have a smoke. You can contact your drivers via the Uber app and so I did and we ended up exchanging mobile numbers and texting because, again, I couldn't understand a word he was saying. Asked him to take cash out of the purse and express post it when he had time, which he did first thing this morning!

It was a trivial amount but I was annoyed that I wasn't told there would be a surcharge when I asked if I could pay a taxi fare by credit card/pay wave.
Let alone an 11% surcharge!!
All I had to do was log in next day and give my bank the details of the receipt.
(I rarely use taxis, and It was night and I couldn't see the details on the receipt in the cab.)
