Presumably Richardson in. Raphael or Ross?

My tip

Smith
Weatherald
Cooper
Head
Lehmann
Ross
Carey
Zampa
Richardson
Sayers
Worrall

Don't reckon we'd go in with four quicks?

Swap Head and Cooper and I reckon your spot on.

Heard Worrell out (assume injured?), plus Mennie and Ferg obviously.

Ross has come in for Ferg, fair enough I suppose on past form, but made no runs since returning from injury.

Richo comes in, so will definitely play. Also added Benton and Grant, would think Benton has to play then.

Grant added for experience of being 12th man, potential for the future but has not been dominating. Valente consider himself pretty stiff I reckon.

Heard different Intel to that, only named 12 at this stage.

If Aussie game goes the distance, depending on rain, will finish late on Wednesday, Shield game starts early Thursday. Don't know how any Aussie players will be able to play for their States.

Harsh

Gentle 130k, low arm action, no swing

No matter our test side is getting bowled out for 85, if Mennie is a serious threat

Huh? He's front on, his right arm is as high as he can get it.

His bowling is front on but take a look at the last delivery stride before he releases. His right knee almost collapses and his whole body drops to an usual position.

I've seen him bowl some pretty handy spells for the Redbacks, and i think it's good that they're actually rewarding for effort last year - although perhaps his bowling at SS level is aided by the fact he's got Sayers at the other end whose very very difficult to get away.

If Australia made 400+ would people still be having the same conversations? I reckon people are looking for a scapegoat at the moment, and Mennie is obviously an easy opgtion.. i would start with looking at that batting lineup that failed - Voges see ya!

I did start to wonder watching Mennie bowl in the test how much of the success at Shield level is the trio Sayers-Mennie-Worrall working together, sustaining pressure, complementing each other. An attack greater than the sum of its parts perhaps?

So it's not a low arm action at all?

I conceded better terminology would have low realease point

Even then looking at that action, his arm never really looks like it extends to its highest point especially when comparing with a McGrath, Gillespie, Clark

Yes, very true. You may have been on the money all along!

Agree all the Aussie batters except Smith should play Shield cricket this match, put them all on notice!

Heard Lehmann making the whole team play Shield cricket this week (except the three pace bowlers). Think this is a great idea, makes a few Shield teams a bit stronger, NSW get four back! Ferguson back for Redbacks, assume Ross goes back to the Second X1 game in QLD on Monday.

You'd think that's his test chances done. If Renshaw scores big here he could be the bolter.

Interesting that's twice in two digs he's been caught fending down the leg side!

Stoinis gone for 11 (47), won't do his chances much good.

Win the toss and bowl, early wicket pretty handy.

But at 1/120 you have to question if this was the right call by Trav now?
