i have the feeling that they'd only be pulling a C/D grade into D7 if it looks like numbers would drop below 9 OR if a C/D grade club specifically requests playing in Div 7

they've played with an odd number in this before so I’m tipping they’re not going to drag one up just so you don’t have to have a bye

That's fair enough but those clubs have to weigh that up weather they want there c/d together every week or just home Games. Also they will have to find 1 less field umpire, less trainers etc but then they have to play more "A" Grade Teams, but seeing TTG, Modbury & Iggies this year in c3 they would hold there own against most clubs in this grade.
