I've been around for a while now so maybe Over the Hill is more appropriate. The SAAFL thread has been warned about my arrival so I think I'll be sticking to DTH. Still hope to keep you guys honest by maintaining a keen interest in the SFL and this forum. Can't let LGIL get away with some of the tripe he comes up with

Another good grand final day by the SFL.


The 18's was a real close game until the final quarter with Brighton lifting another gear.
B's was an entertaining game to watch and the A grade was a sweet dessert. Didn't choke on it either.

Seemed like a huge mistake to play Corrie, felt sorry for Morphetvale's 22nd player watching on as Corrie couldn't get out of 3rd gear.

Agree on lack of atmosphere, why not just rotate between grounds that are deemed suitable for Saturday finals?

Well done to all grade winners, Flaggies well deserved in the A's.

Will the dynamic duo of Mitchell and Charlesworth be going round again in 2017??

Nothing sinister, just heard that there might be role change's for Middy and the Pres in 2017.

I have always been a key observer of this site and always admired the passion with which you discuss the league its teams its supporters and its players. Our club has taken the opportunity to thank other clubs for your rivalry over the last few weeks. We are leaving for the amateurs for selfish reasons however that does not mean we wont leave with mixed feelings as we will miss some of the intensive rivalries and relationships we have developed. Thankyou for this.

As a club we wish the SFL and its member clubs an exciting and successful future. We recognize that the SFL administration have a tough job satisfying all its member clubs and we recognize also the hard work that they and all the officials of the member clubs put in. This is from club's Facebook page - doesn't give much time to apply. Did hear that the current Under 18s coach is going back to Plympton which leaves a vacancy there and considering there were 5 under 16s players that played in the GF it would be a plum job to get

yes, very bland atmosphere and seems to be getting worse each year,
local oval would trump that 10 times over, mabye not in numbers but atmosphere and a viewing spectacle.

that size ground and atmosphere is alien to all the SFL players and is tricky to play at the best of times, No excuses though, goals at each end and so on...

unlikley things will change though,

will be difficult to leave all the top rivalries in the SFL, hoping to see the SFL build itself back up fast rather than decline slowly from this point....

as we all know.... has potential to be great once again.
