Word on the street from a few in the know at Porties is that Reynella have qualified a S.Smith in the B grade over the last month and a half (was named in yesterdays boot as #24). Berg's reckons it is Shane Smith (who is interstate at the moment) and the facts are that he hasn't played a game for Reynella all year. Was talking to a league representative about it shortly after and queried what would happen. The response is that they have been made aware of the situation and have monitored it, they are fully aware that Shane Smith has not played a game this year and if Reynella play him in any grade in the finals they will be dealt with in the same manner as Valley's 18's last year, disqualification. Maybe a storm in a tea cup, i don't know for sure, perhaps Fly or SFL Spy could enlighten us...

How do you rate the quality of a ton when you kick a quarter of that against one side......I know you still need to kick them but fair dinkum....if there was a big night because of that then a few need to get a life.....I am absolutely certain would take the ton but understand the nature of it....

Yeah it is true that the Shane Smith has qualified for finals, Also it's true what the Fly has said, Don't be surprised if S.Smith lines up in the A's for Reynella this weekend against Morphett Vale.

I can see what your saying Hotdogs, kicking a big bag against sh*t opposition would take a bit of sparkle of the ton. But by looking at where we are in the season and amount of games pollard and Mckeough have missed. I would certainly take the ton. Pollards on 106 now and with 3 games left he could end up on 120 odd anyway. surely that makes up for the sh*t. and mckeough wont be far off that either. I reckon its a fair accomplishment at any level. well done lads.

I'm with you Speccy, Hotdogs needs to get his head out of his arse and understand that a ton is still a ton, perhaps we should take those goals against Hackham away Franky would that make you feel better..?? Check the records, he's kicked bags against every team in the comp this year, truly deserved. Can't understand your logic Franky, first A grade ton at the club since 1981... Why would'nt there be a big night..?? Perhaps you don't have any big nights down Brighton way because your club never does anything spectacular... See you in 2 weeks, looking forward to the banter in the lead up, Emu's by 10 goals minimum...

C'mon lads.....kicking 27 against one side is an absolute joke......as i said (while me head was up my arse) you still have to kick them but I would guarantee that if you ask Polly he would agree with me that it is a bit of a micky mouse ton.....as you would well know Gringo I know Polly and he would categorically agree with me.

If we had a better competition that was 2 divisions......would he be on 106 goals - the answer is NO......so again take the ton for what it is worth.....

Think your being a tad harsh dogs. From memory he kicked 10 against reynella, 6 in a quarter and a half against Valleys and 9 against the mob who touched you boys up last week. You must agree thats not a bad return against competitive opposition. Also missed a few games thru injury so i think 106 is a decent effort.

Good win by your boys on the weekend tho.

Maybe if Polly was playing on Franky he might have kicked more this season? Just thinking back to the GF a few years ago...

Yes very good win....was at the game and very impressed with the boys.

Totally agree with the effort by Polly - we all know he is a quality player (as is Milo from Reynella). My point being is that if they get carried away with a ton - that is tainted by the current state of the competition - then they need to get a life. Take the goals against the worst 4 sides in the competition away at the end of the year and add back an average of the rest - and if he has a ton I will applaud his work....

He will be forever remembered for kicking a ton, Baden Taylor who was the last Emu A grader to kick a ton in the early 80's i'm certain kicked plenty also against the hapless Sharks back then, Morphies A grade had the record for the highest Div 1 score until this year when every team in the comp just about beat it (even Meekins's Saints owned it for a week), how many he kicked against individual sides is never a part of the conversation when he comes back to the club, he is just known as an absolute champion of the club.

For the record Polly would not see this as a "Mickey Mouse" ton... FACT...

If he keeps up his current form franky you will be applauding your ring off.
Facts: reynella 11, Your Bombers 6, Flaggies 10, Marion 6, valleys 6, Christies 9, valleys 1, porties 9. that is the games agianst everyone that has won more than 4 games for the year.(taken out hackem/mville/sharks). the other games hes been out injured. now thats got him at an average of 7 goals a game against the "quality" opposition. using your magic theory and times that by the games in a season.......... 126. START APPLAUDING FRANKY!!!!!

Nice work getting a bit of a spark back in the forum tho. But the crowd has spoken!

Its a very good effort, but must agree that some of the shine has been taken off it, due to the lopsided scorelines, kicks 27 one game and then in morphies closest game for the year the week after he kicks 1.
Good to see you just picked a few games and then divided them, without adding all the games he had played

sorry to see the forum has come to putting shit on a bloke for kicking a ton...i'm sure if a bloke from Brighton or Sullies kicked the ton Franky and Mole would be singing a different tune...

i hate reynella with a passion, but i would be the first to congratulate milo when he kicks 100.

Those are the games that he played. I took out hackem/sharks/roos. all of the games mentioned are the games he played. I guess you could add a zero against the lions where he played a quarter if you like. but point is it still puts his average well over the ton. thanks for your misinformed comment tho mole!

Just not sure about the shine being taken off his achievement. At the end of the day he will go down as 100+ goal kicker. Doesnt matter about the opposition.
If he kicks 127 for the year it will negate the hackham game anyway...

Did you see the game on the weekend Tight Lines?
Can you give us your honest assessment?
I know each game is different but it makes you wonder where that puts Reynella...should be an interesting game this weekend against Morphies for a few reasons.

Jeez some of you blokes only read what you want to hear.....my comment was that it was a great effort by a great footballer......however if they had a big night over it then they need to sit back and re-evaluate......I know Polly would agree that at this stage kicking a quarter of his tally against 1 side is a joke....however kicking big scores against the power sides is a good effort....so once again tell me - take out the crap this year and has he kicked the ton....the answer is NO.......but also once again - he has kicked some bags against the good sides so at the end of the year he deserves some kudos;

What if he played on franky- he would have kicked more......blah blah blah.......I actually played on Polly and check the record....multiply it by 18 and he kick <40 for the year....FACT.....

Pollard - 106 goals
Morphy pk - 104 goals
Hackham - 40 goals

When a player has currently more goals than a side does i think fair effort.
As someone else has already stated, 100 goals in any comp is s great effort.
