Mick Gilmour - give me a break, the only thing tough about him was his mouth and his ego, the only fight I remember him having was against his own team mate at winies, a tea toatler who loved playing for money,
What about Mal Lee from Hackham in th 90s he scared a few

And no one else at Reynella plays for money..........Spose they have enough recent A grade premierships to justify that  .If he only played for money why has he played at Kenilworth for 10 years and in the Team of the Century on top of currently play/coaching the magoos. Each to their own,but yes big Mal was an intimidating force

Didnt know that he still was playing - good on him but his best footy days were in the late 80s and early 90s where he played for quite a few clubs

Whats the problem down at brighton Dogs? (Besides missing a big tough intimidator - come to think of it not sure if they have ever had one) Seems like they have dropped back a peg in the run in to finals.

Not far off the mark....lacking some quality big men to compliment the runners.....really need a ruckman, FF, and CHB........

Brighton over Cove has got to be one of the upsets of the year i would've thought, excpet for Franky who would've backed his boys in at the start of the day... Emu's played well for 4 quarters yesterday, one of thier bigger wins against the divers. Pollard kicked his ton yesterday, first century A grade goal kicker for Morphett Vale since 1981... I'm sure a big night was had by all. Did you get down to the game Numbers..?? Did you stay back at the club for a few quiet one's after..??

Word on the street from a few in the know at Porties is that Reynella have qualified a S.Smith in the B grade over the last month and a half (was named in yesterdays boot as #24). Berg's reckons it is Shane Smith (who is interstate at the moment) and the facts are that he hasn't played a game for Reynella all year. Was talking to a league representative about it shortly after and queried what would happen. The response is that they have been made aware of the situation and have monitored it, they are fully aware that Shane Smith has not played a game this year and if Reynella play him in any grade in the finals they will be dealt with in the same manner as Valley's 18's last year, disqualification. Maybe a storm in a tea cup, i don't know for sure, perhaps Fly or SFL Spy could enlighten us...

Shane Smith has played a few B grade games this year and is living in Q.L.D. but comes down in two week blocks and has genuinely played when here. The S.F.L would have egg on it's face if it launched an investigation into this because he has played and is already qualified for finals footy.

Went and watched Valleys and Bushpigs, not a bad game and not a bad crowd either. Valleys won 19 goals to 6, but for the first quarter and the third quarters, and even to an extent the second quarters, flaggies seemed to be able to match them. From an obsevers point of view, a few of the flaggies boys look lightweight, but the word going round is that they are a young side, so maybe they will fill out in the next few years. They looked very young today though. Valleys a good hardened side and from my opinion, and as they have shown in the last two weeks, they are a big chance to go places in September. From my opinion of seeing Morphett Vale and Happy Valley last week, it could very well be an entertaining qualifying final if results go that way.

The flaggies side is very young and was even younger today due to about 8 or 9 changes from last week. With only 4 players over the age of 22 and an average age of about 19, it was always going to be a huge effort just to stay with Happy Valley today. We are very lightweight and I think we were outsized in every position on the field, both in height and body strength. However, despite the result, I think we gave a good, honest effort and far from disgraced ourselves.
