I think I have the worst confession, not only do I like the Village People but I saw them live at the Bridgeway once in 1990!

Mrs Wedgie didn't know what was going on as she'd only known me for about 6 months at that stage and thought I was your typical bogan as all I normally listened to was the Angels or ACDC, great part about the night was it was dinner and beer inclusive and I got so smashed I actually got up and danced, even shook hand with the biker who is no longer with us due to some sort of deadly illnes.

Also seen Neil Diamond live in concert twice. Also saw Lionel Ritchie but never liked his stuff, only went because my best mate loved him, Mum never forgave me for that as she sat outside War Memorial and listened while I was inside just trying to pick up chicks.

Tonight on the way home I was playing a compilation tape. When this particular song came on I caught myself leaning over to crank up the volume and I knew I'd have to confess on this thread:

Bronski Beat - Why?

I would like to make 3 confessions...

1) I went to the Lionel Ritchie concert when I was 14, his dancing on the ceiling tour. I thought it was great!

2) CP, The Absent Friends song is brilliant

3) There is NOTHING wrong with Bronski Beat...

Maybe i best not post on this thread anymore...

I have a mate who is very alternative, plays in a band, loves his JJJ stuff, hates main-stream music ... or so he claimed .....

He sheepishly revealed to me one day that he liked Sophie Ellis-Baxter  and secretly listened to her music on his headphones without even telling his girlfiend

Asked me to swear I would never tell anyone

I think most of us have similar music tastes deep down ... despite the image we like to portray
