Totally agree. I am sure The Shoes would love to host it.

I'm sure both coaches would pick sides suited to which ever ground the game was played at!
Having said that it would be great to see the game played at a local ground rather than at South Adelaide.
I was lucky enough to attend a GSFL grand final a few years back and it was a fantastic atmosphere, BBQ's everywhere and the ground was full.
The even do the presentations on the ground!

The egg and sauce over tag bushpigs at the pastie. Are the former on the way up? Or did the latter suffered a blip, due to injuries, on the way to a top four finish?
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

why is it that they continue to play clubs that are only making up the numbers and degrade what could be a competetive strong leauge.

dont know what others who have been involved with the league for a long time really think.

its an embarrasment really, and worse if you are a player its hit and miss every week, surley the weaker teams are over getting pumped or is it just a way of life for them....

if 2 divs is too hard for what ever reason, almalgamate or disintergrate. no offence to the struggling clubs, its not their fault...

Congrats Jason and still going strong .

It was a pleasure to see so many past and current members turn up to celebrate with Peachy BUT ! Saturday was the second time this year with no game in the 14 slot then a 14 game in 16 slot then no game in 18 slot before the senior games! ](*,)

We all receive 9 home games where revenue can be made from gate/canteen/BBQ and so on ,maybe time to invoice the SFL with loss revenue due to decisions that the board has made and we have all seen this happening for a while. ](*,)

Also the 16 programme that has been railroaded by Reynella to cater for 4 college kids has also been a complete farce ! ](*,)

Apparently Michael Mazey, who i believe used to play for Happy Valley, king hit a player behind the play he was playing against on the weekend where he is playing now. Does this surprise anyone?

Yes great win by the Emu's - still improving and more players to come back, Bodey's first game for the year gave us a Ruck advantage but he's off to a warmer climate for a couple of weeks as we take on 2 Clubs that beat us last year - Morphie Parks and Christies. Brighton are a good attacking running side but seemed to struggle on M/Vales small Oval.

Good observations SMP. We are lacking genuine ruck height and most of Bode's tap work was as good as an effective disposal particularly with Hodgey turning back the clock with a clearance master class on the back of Bode giving first use. It was a funny game in that the first half seemed to lack the type of intensity of two top teams - possibly due to coming off the BYE - but the Emu's sealed the game with that 10 minute burst of 6 unanswered goals during the 3rd quarter. The Emu's are a genuine contender after back to back wins over last years Grand Finalists and we now have a very rare sight in the SFL of only half a game separating the top 5 this deep into the season. Big round coming up this week with 8 of the top 9 playing each other.

To late for 2 divisions.
S.F.L. need to go to a 10 team comp.
Struggling teams have not been competitive for a long time and I can't see it changing.

10 team comps are great, play everyone home and away - nice even draw. Top 5 play finals

What 10 teams would be left in it though?

Nothing will change until we see some new faces in charge of the SFL!
Lonsdale, Hackam and Marion would be the obvious 3 teams to be discarded if it did happen with the Roo's perhaps the 4th club due to their lack of juniors.
No easy fix for the complete mess we currently find the league in at present though.

Several clubs are really struggling with junior numbers and this is a huge concern and it appears to be getting worse every season. I think more has to be done by the AFL, SANFL and local leagues to help clubs get their junior programs on the right track and also help the clubs struggling for numbers due to demographics.

Good to see James McEntee play B's for the Flies last weekend!
