Hectorville 15 10 0 5 1,483 1,018 20 59
Hope Valley 15 10 0 5 1,571 1,265 20 55
West Croydon 15 7 0 8 1,525 1,533 14 50

Im thinking West Croydon may drop out with Lockleys to sneak in as they have an easier draw.

i reckon houghton might do it. they have the last two against HV and BOS away and home respectively and they beat us up there last year on a soggy deck. percentage may be the only thing to separate 4th to 6th. the top four are probably set. GG and Hectorville on form the two favourites. interesting 6 weeks coming up.

hougthon are a possibilty as well. that last game v blackfriars will be somewat of a nothing game for u friars boys as your position in 2nd will already be cemented and ull be looking ahead to the first wk of finals. houghton cud pinch that 1.
obvioulsy the friars are going to be very dangerous come finals- they won the flag last yr so they know wats expected in these games. and from wat i hear u still have some quality players to come back into the side.
i also hear that gg have lost a couple of players for the yr- tuckwell is one of them.
looks like its going to be a cracker of a finals series!

So you reckon Houghton will beat Hope Valley at Hope Valley, sprint? Big call considering Golden Grove are the only side that's beaten us at home this year. I think West Croydon are the danger. They've now got 3 gun forwards and if they get some momentum, they'll be hard to beat. They did it in the run home in 05 - came from nowhere...

So what are you gauging your "form" on? Hectorville beat 2nd bottom by 2 goals and Blackfriars beat bottom by 28 goals. I'd have to say Golden Grove and Blackfriars are the favourites on "form"

Mate your not changing your mind on Lockleys getting that fifth spot. Still sticking with it. You might be right if the results go the way you have picked.

i didn't say that houghton would beat HV, just referred to their draw and the fact they will play on two relatively heavy grounds in the last two weeks. also you mentioned that HV footy wasn't the best at the minute in a previous post i think, so i came up with my theory.

i see HD on 16pts, Lockleys 16 and WC 14 at the end of the minor round. just how i see it, fair chance i will be wrong trying to pick all the winners for the next three weeks.

as for form - golden grove 14 straight, hectorville 5 of the last 6 incluidng knocking off 2nd by 11 goals, hope valley 3 of last 6 of course also knocking of 2nd but only by a goal and a bit, bos 3 of last 6 but all wins against teams below themselves.

It should be Golden Grove vs Blackfriars easily. Only one team has beaten either of them this year and that is Hope Valley. They are the only danger to what should be a pretty obvious grand final. Golden Grove shouldn't think they've got it in the bag either because if Blackfriars have got their best side in they could smash anyone. CJ that doesn't include you!

lethal who are you to hang shit on one of ourplayers.. unless your invovled in the club you would have no idea what his role is in the team nor anyone elses. in a forward line where 2 big targets have kicked over 100 combined he has kicked around 20ish is part of our midfield rotation and can play a shut down role on any quick midfielder. should poll some votes in the medal this year. he broke his leg a few weeks ago anyways and were missing him and will if he cant get back for finals.

Hate to burst your bubble seeing that your actually talking us up, but we haven't beaten golden grove this year. Lost by 14 goals and 33 points respectively. Blackfriars are the only side that's beaten them and that was round one when GG were undermanned and Blackfriars were at almost full strength.

If we can get back to full strength and find some form, who knows what could happen?? But at the moment you would have to say GG v BF grand final with Heccies knocking very loudly on the door

we have 6 or so A graders to return for and before finals... its been good though we have had all our real young blokes step up which is pretty encouraging for us. once 2nd is cemented we will probably rest players in and out like we did last season. if you speak to cappa he will tell you he will be back for finals.

As much as some people will disagree - I hope CJ makes it back for the finals. While he might upset some posters, the effort he seems to have gone to to be involved in setting up his club, surely deserves continued reward (if the Hounds do indeed take the flag again).

I wouldn't think we'd be resting players.. time to get the side settled i reckon, sure if they've got a niggle but apart from that ready to gel leading into the major rounds

Geez the Frair boys are talking about resting players? Wouldn't wanna get too cocky coasting into the major rounds. Drop a game or two and it might really unsettle the squad and who knows what can happen in finals. Momentum is a big part of footy!
