Finally some more common sense ;)

Might be no mercy rule over a certain age noticed there was one game we had more goal kickers than goals. That might also be a hangover of the person putting it in.

There is a mercy rule and i saw it in action yesterday. After the lead is 10 goals (i think), every time the team that is winning gets another goal, the losing team get free kick at CHF instead of a centre ball up.
It was in an U14 games

Thats an interesting concept but i was more referring to the publication of the exact scores instead of showing just a 10 goal margin

Good.

Parents should sit in their deck chair and watch from a distance.

I coach at U10 grade and its not compulsory at this age, only comes into play from U11 level. We are encouraging our parents to get used to it and leave it up to us on the day. I can see how it will work to be honest, I get all the attention of the team and dont have any parents telling their child anything different to what I am telling them (not that this happens all that much in my team however).

Do North Pines and Edwardstown really have juniors in the same division?

Yes, although I have been led to believe that their may be some re-grading very soon which may or may not change that.

wouldn't Athelstone/Hope Valley/Modbury/Walkerville/Broadview/Gaza to Angle Vale be further than North Pines to Edwardstown?

Brighton by 90 points
Seaton by 173 points

Nah doesnt apply to U16s. Our boys being moved to the lower division this week. How they couldnt foresee that they were going to cop some floggings in the other div is beyond me.

I'm guessing that Pag is as baffled as I am as to why North Pines aren't in the NEMJFA.

West Croydon would be their closest opposition followed by Rosewater then everyone else is a fair road trip.

Excluding Angle Vale, you can get to most grounds within 25 minutes in the NEMJFA.

Speaking of which, has there been any further developments in the possible merger of all junior competitions?

Our first two away games for Colonel Light U/12's have been Portland 9.30 & Rosewater 10.00. Both a fair trek on a Sunday morning.

One thing i have noticed is the difference in quality of teams from MSJFL & MWJFL. Other than a couple of Metro West clubs that are competetive the Metro South club are giving the Metro west clubs some fair whoopings. Hopefully this is something that sorts itself out over time

In the games I have seen (and I've seen plenty) the West teams have not even got close to the South teams
