Going on that precedent, two seems right, although both would be lenient in my opinion, although I did not see the Bruggemann incident, just going on what I've heard about Tyler's injuries.
The prescribed penalty system is a country football cop out to avoid proper and fair tribunal. Video cameras cost SFA and there should be one at each end of each game. $1k investment by the league tops (about a one week return for some players). Verbal evidence is worth squat as people lie through their teeth.
Footage would at least kerb the more moronic actions. I wouldn't put Gus in this class based on Saturday - but he would never have done this in the past two years. And if he did, he would have been handed plenty.
And while I'm on it, guess who are the worst perps of the country football antics ( albeit it is better than before ):
Not the players
Not the league/rules
Not the umpires ( for not being able to 'control' thugs )
Yep, just the club left. They pay them, they support them, they defend them.
