The worst offender is in Victoria. I ordered something that is very important to my customers business. The product has heaps of different variances, and he needs a specific one.

Ordered the right thing Tuesday, they invoice and send the wrong thing. Gets here yesterday wrong. The customers fuming because he needs it badly.

I talk to the Vic office, they apologise and pledge to fix it ASAP.

This morning, the delivery comes in. Very quick. Except it's the same WRONG stock we got yesterday. This time the invoice is right, but their warehouse picked it wrong.

Another one shipped our order out from Melbourne Tuesday with a backorder on it. They tell me this morning, 4 days later, that the thing on backorder doesn't exist anymore, and now I need to talk to our customer, who's been waiting too long already, if he wants the replacement product, and tell him that it won't get to us til probably Wednesday next week.

I've copped a fair few naughty words the last few days
.

I've got a "don't swear at me policy", if a customer gets all f-bomb over the phone I politely tell them that I'm not willing to tolerate that, I don't get paid to be subjected to verbal abuse and basically tell them I'm hanging up, then I hang up.

Keep in mind, nearly half my contact on a daily basis is with site supervisors, site managers and builders who all think blowing up and swearing their heads off will get them what they want.

I can tell you, it works. Works well, you have to have the backing of your superiors to do it, hanging up on a customer, but I can confirm it works really well.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

A lot of the time I can see where they're coming from. And I know it's hard to trust a guy saying "sorry, it wasn't me, it was our suppliers fault" because that's what everyone says when they f**k up.

Plus I look like a 12 year old with a beard, so a lot of the industrial alpha males think they can intimidate me. They can't. I just keep talking as if they've been polite.

I'll also accept responsibility if I f**k up (Which happened yesterday). The guy started off angry, but when I said it was 100% my fault, he cooled down straight away.

This job has made me come to realise that most people, deep down, are f**kin dicks!

Honesty is definitely the best policy. I've found that people are quite forgiving if you're up front with your error, and especially if you can offer a way forward to help solve the problem.

Was there much price diffrerence between fixing the AC and getting a new AC?

Didn't get back to sleep....bet that prick got some Maccas for breakfast and a sleep in until the magistrate was ready to wipe his nose and give him a soothing cuddle before giving him a ride home.

We had the same thing between 10 and 11 last night.
Cops didn't find the guys, even with the chopper flying around for an hour and dogs out on the hunt.

I had some sperm bubble light up a burnout at 2am Saturday morning right out the front of my house, he had another crack it 100 metres down the road, I was friggin livid.
