I'm so bloody sick of James Hopes and his mediums destroying us over the years, surely we aren't that bad anymore.

Personally I believe Lehmann will be our best batsmen in the next two years, has pure class and just needs to keep gaining experience.

Agree on all aspects there, Hopes is annoying, you'd think their eyes would glow seeing him open the bowling.

I'm heading down later today for a bucks show, hopefully get there by 3 and get most of the last session in. I want to see plenty of wickets tumbling!

Thought the same when I saw him opening the attack. Any opener worth their salt would be licking their lips

goes to show that pressure and accuracy are still weapons for a bowler, not just pure pace.

the text commentary on cricket.com.au is terrible.

Its like they just have a dropdown box of terms that they can use and nothing more. I could probably write a bot that would do a better job.

cricinfo does it well as they actually interact with their audience (though they dont cover shield games)

It's an issue of Man power. 4 in the scorers box at 1 time. 2 on the traditional scorecard, 1 on the My Cricket scorecard and 1 doing the live text commentary. International matches I think they have 6.

That makes sense.

Surely they can do a little better than what they have though.

The text commentary could be a little more personal. Even if it is just a short sentence between overs helping you get the context of the game - sayers hooping it, burns starting to get on top here, etc etc to let you know that it isnt a robot

Hope he gave Lynn the ol "Catch Up, Brus!" when he got him, true Darwin styles

Was 98 short of a century on debut when Worrell got out :D 8)

Go son of Ronnie!!!
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Lead pushing up towards 420. With the Vics closing in on a outright win its going to need a fair chase to keep pace with them
