maybe going to Div 4 was going to be to much of a challenge for some of these players and not as committed to para hills or dedicated to the training required, so opted out going to lower divisions

I would've thought that after playing in a winning final the previous year. You would be feeling pretty good and still on a high and see whether or not you can play in back to back finals. I just find myself bemused all the time of players leaving clubs that are in a higher div (especially those playing in winning premiership teams) to go play at a club in a lower grade. And don't tell me that there is no $$$$$ getting thrown around. That's a lie.

Yes.. We have spent 120,000 on player payments this year - every A grader gets min $100 a game and we cover their fees and kit them out in full club apparel.

If you're gonna dribble crap on matters you aren't privy to details on then may as well make it a really good story ..

Yeh, because no one ever does that around here..

Well your Captain has already come out and said that 2016 is "Year of the Doggie!!!!"

Definite salary cap investigation here ;)

Maybe some of these players are the wrong side of 30 and winding down their playing days.. maybe some didn't want to go to D4.. maybe some didn't want to commit.. maybe some didn't like the new coaching appointment.. maybe some came to play with mates.. maybe some had agreed before last year..

Plenty of reasons why players change clubs every year.

I've heard the Clark brothers might be returning back to Brahma Lodge from Greenacres as well...

If BL get savage, they will get the Clark brothers, which will then get McDonough and Bates.

Where did Bates and McDonough play last year?

McDonough played at Greenies with the Clark boys and Savage. Not sure about Bates.

Bates was also with those boys at Greenacres last season, pretty sure he has work commitments on most weekends so only played when he wasn't working and I reckon he got injured early in the season too.

If these blokes head back to tigerland BL will be much better for it. All great lads!

As a member of the Para Hills Community Club I feel I am qualified to comment. :)

I believe the players have left Para Hills for Ingle Farm because they want to be coached by TV star Paul Manuel and get a bit of air time. He has probably reached into his own pocket as he is on big $ hosting the new show in 2016.

Interesting news out of HQ that the Doggies are looking at a potential name change in 2016. Names put forward so far are Ingle Hills and Para Farm. :)

If you've played 25 games at the club you're going to you don't count in the 3 player rule

Cheers Q, not sure why a club would refuse a clearance to anyone if they didnt want to play there (unless money owing) whatever club they wanted to go to.

They started printing the t-shirts when they signed "MadDog" Greg Kells late last year. The addition of half the Para Hills premiership team was simply icing on the cake. ;) :)

Word out of the kennel is that the coach has been asked to stop using Hawthorn quotes at a div 6 club and has been sent on his level 2 coaches course. In all seriousness this will give them a huge tactical advantage over some of his adversaries and will have the Dogs very ready for the season ahead.
