Good win by the Sixers tonight- blistering 1st half set up the win.

DJ terrific off the glass with 16 rebounds!

I only saw the second half which was a bit scrappy but it seemed like all the work was done in the first half. DJ with 15 points & 16 boards and shot efficiently.

I'm feeling a bit ordinary about putting $20 on the Hawks to win it all at the start of the season

Great game by The boys. Good four quarter performance.

Seeing Jerome Randle live was awesome, he is electric. I have never seen DJ monster the boards like he did tonight, his outside shooting was still rubbish but when he got inside and played his role he was sublime. Sobeys 40 seconds game time was uneventful but his mini tanty when he got dragged wasn't. Big Dish had 13 from memory at quarter time and was on fire. Hodgson and Walker showed me very little. Ebi didn't see too much game time.

Really enjoyable night and quite profitable taking the 36ers to cover the spread at every quarter and coming home to a pleasant little div 5 cross lotto win. Good crowd and good atmosphere. Even got the George Costanza park.

Big 3 games on the road coming up. With Melbourne dropping a couple of games and us competing well with Perth if we can take a couple of scalps in the next 3 we might even be able to start thinking about the business end of the season.

I reckon Walker hurt himself against Perth. He went to the locker room during the game and when he returned you could see the strain on his face whenever he lifted his arm up.

Good to see Melbourne lose again, 3 in a row.

What do you think has gone wrong with Melbourne, Gozu? On fire to start the season but seem to have lost their way a little.

Perth did us a favour tonight as far as fourth spot is concerned. Big game this Friday night to keep Cairns at bay.

Just from what I've seen I think Hakim Warrick's spell on the sidelines has thrown them out. They were getting much more out of him than they did from Garrett Jackson. Majok Majok is the only real centre they have (other than Warrick playing there) and Jackson was just too under sized. That and the fact I think they're front runners. They've got a lot of guys who look pretty when they're winning jacking them up jogging back down the court like Goulding, Kickert & Blanchfield but not too interested when it comes time to dig in play some defence and play the percentages.

An idiot old enough to know better was ejected from tonight's Illawarra vs Sydney game for pouring beer on the head of Kings import Marcus Thornton, pretty ordinary.

For Josh Childress it was his first game back from injury but the Hawks got up 96-90.

Idiot - Yes
Ordinary - Yes
Funny - oh hell Yes.

It was a dumb and stupid thing to do and he got thrown out. I hope the world doesn't turn too precious over this one. Old bloke made a mistake and got thrown out, let's move on.

Had a tough day playing Santa.

Fair effort from someone in a corporate box.

I found it hilarious that the Sydney player behaved like he was pouring acid on him.

Back in the day they threw a lot worse than beer on you at sporting events.

Good call, serve me light beer in a corporate box and I'd be tipping it out also.

I just watched it again with the wife and it is amusing. I really enjoyed the Illawara Hawk creeping over towards the guy

That Hawks fan who poured the beer on Marcus Thornton's head has been banned for the rest of the season.

The NBL has slapped a season ban on the spectator who poured beer on Sydney Kings player Marcus Thornton during a game in Wollongong.

Thornton and the Kings received an apology from the corporate sponsor of the box, the NBL said in a statement.

Humouros to hear Rucker say "the fans have responded and come out in force" . I haven't seen an emptier stadium, crowd is pathetic.

Good start by the Crocs though.
