The hot weather will mean the aussies will look to win the traditional way by bat, bowl, bat, bowl which imho will mean a slightly earlier decleration than they could of something around 550, in years gone by a team in this position may hit 700 declare and then bowl the opposition out twice

Pretty sure administrators are keen to see it go to 5 days also. It's going to be tough to make that happen against the Windies

The rate we are going we could declare at tea and have 600 plus on the board, would give our bowlers a crack at their exhausted batsman in the last session when the doctor springs up and then a fresh crack at them tomorrow morning. We will be batting again by the last session tomorrow.
Plenty of time left, let Warner get to 400 and call it

NZ just bowled a second maiden for the innings.

I doing think they will get as many maidens as they will hundreds against their bowlers names.

250 to Davey Bull. Well batted son. 300 hungy now.

I didn't think he looked uncomfortable I just felt he didn't time his innings that well. Didn't play a shot for an hour and then tried to hit every ball for 4 all of a sudden. I'm tipping he wishes he had of stayed at 3

Here is a statistical anomaly for you

Steve Smith has made the lowest score of dismissed batsmen in every innings of the Australian Summer. has averaged 25 though and been chasing quick runs every time but it shows how unimportant some stats are yet cricketers lives are born and ended by them

Aust declare at 9/559

Interesting declaration, would have batted normally and until 15 mins after tea then declared.

Aust bowlers now have a session and just and a half to bowl in the hottest part of the day and front up again tomorrow.

would have drained the kiwis in the field alot longer

Now let's run in full tilt and badge a few of these friendly sheep shaggers :)

So Australia lost 8/140 ish.

Probably goes to show the drop catches and poor reviews were worse than we thought.

Part or is done right. Now 3 or 4 fa at stumps with Kano back in the pavilion and we have one hand on the trophy 8)
