You'd think their A's would slip into Grade 2.
Grade 3 I would think.. Not good enough for Grade 2.
Grade 2 has 4 B Grade teams in it.

8 overs 7 maidens 3 for 1 ain't too bad pal
But yes Pete Atkins for NEK double ton a reasonable day out in a 40 over match. He hit 17 X sixes in one innings (that's more than I've done in my life!) and gave only one chance
Fortunately for us his he didn't get going Saturday

The standard is poop.
I personally think they need to look at 6 teams per grade very soon.

See ex Rose Parker Matt Ralph smashed his maiden ton for them on Saturday. Also have Paul Wright out there

Parafield Gardens play Grade 1 - they went up this year with Riverside I think.
I wouldn't mind playing at Bradman Oval every other week though.. it's pretty similar to NEK ground - only a little smaller I think..

That's what it was like at NEK ground the other week haha!
Both NEK and PG are soccer grounds during the winter, I wonder if that has an influence on the ground? Obviously soccer sides would like quick, smooth grounds to play on and not so lush?

They are generally over-used too so they cop a hammering, being more compact than a football oval the traffic is higher.

Good outcome for your lads on Saturday though, 171 on that ground I don't think is nearly enough - especially in a 2 day game, and NEK bowling attack is not threatening.. should be a comfortable chase.
Para Vista v Fitzroy was a massive shock - should chase an outright from here after rolling them for 42 and leading by 97 overnight.. would you declare over night and rip straight into them or look to build a lead?

I would support that prediction.. I think he will go nuts this week and rack up a big score very rapidly.
